The author George Orwell described his ideal pub in a newspaper article and called it ‘Moon Under Water’. It is why ‘moon’ is used in the name of several Wetherspoon pubs. This pub stands on the site of the Black Boy Inn. First recorded in 1679, it was demolished in 1910 and replaced by the Fulbrook Motor Works. Later known as Fulbrook House, it was home to Slough’s first supermarket and then the Halifax Building Society

Bad experience

I had the misfortune to visit the moon an d spoon in slough today and despite it being very empty I had to wait to be served whilst the one member of staff sorted out a phone charger for a friend not a good experience

Nice pub just opposite to slough high street. Good food at a very minimal rate. I loved to have large breakfast here. Drinks ate quite cheap as compared to other pubs. Excellent ambience.

Only decent Wetherspoons in a 10 mile radius. Food and drink are very reasonably priced and of good

Only decent Wetherspoons in a 10 mile radius. Food and drink are very reasonably priced and of good quality. Staff are friendly and attentive and polite. Atmosphere is always warm. Recommended.

Food & drinks ordered from the bar was great, atmosphere was good & toilets clean. However.. ordered a pint via the app to enjoy with my food but took over 17 minutes & still had to fetch it from the bar myself 👎
