The treatment and care I received on the day of my minor surgery was great, no issues there. BUT... What happened afterwards is absolutely shocking and unacceptable!
First of all the hospital changed my follow up appointment date, which would not be an issue, but the problem is they forgot to inform me about it. I found out about the new date by accident when I logged into my Spire account.
The follow up appointment took place over the phone where my doctor issued a prescription and advised this would be sent to me by post. It never happened. I tried to contact the hospital a few times but nobody could or wanted to help. They gave me another phone number to Dr Topham's office, which I called 4 times (!!!!!) in the past 2 months. The staff told me every time that they are looking into it and they would call me or email me back once resolved. 2.5 months after my surgery I still did not receive the prescription nor I have any clue how I am going to receive it.
On the top of it, they double charged me for the surgery. They issued an invoice a few days after the surgery, then out of the blue they charged me again 2 months later for the same surgery. They had the energy to double charge me but they could not care less to make sure I receive that missing prescription, which is vital for my aftercare.
I just don't understand how can a private hospital provide such a horrible service?! They need to do something with their rubbish admin staff ASAP.
