Wonderful bridal shop. As a middle-aged bride, conscious of her age, who wanted something a bit different, yet still “bridal”, and being unable to find anything locally, I was over the moon to find The Mews and the wonderful selection of elegant, modern gowns they offer, all by French designers. I tried on about six and they were all beautiful. Megan, who looked after me, was lovely, and couldn’t have been more helpful and although I had a fixed idea of what I wanted, when I spotted the beautiful embroidered tulle “dress” on the rail, she persuaded me to try it on, even though it was a two piece (with a high waisted skirt and cropped top) which I was certain would be completely unsuitable. It turned out I was wrong and this was “the one”. Subsequent appointments for fittings were equally good, and the seamstress, Connie, was excellent, ensuring that the dress fit me perfectly. I can’t imagine having a better experience and would highly recommend The Mews to all brides to be.

I had a great experience at the Mews Bridal Clifton. They made the whole experience of picking my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses an absolute pleasure. All the staff are amazing at what they do and they were always so welcoming, friendly and professional every time I visited the shop. I would thoroughly recommend any bride to go and check out the Mews Bridal and their amazing selection of dresses.

The moment you step inside The Mews in Clifton, you are taken away from the wedding-planning-craziness and transported into their calm, serene and beautiful world. It's like a warm, reassuring hug from your best friend! The girls at the Mews are just lovely and make you feel so relaxed - no matter how worried you might be about finding 'the one.' They know their trade so well and offer helpful advice without a hint of 'pushy salesperson!' Thank you for making my wedding dress experience such an enjoyable one. Much love Ciara xxx (Will only let me post my review under my husband's name for some reason!! But he loved the dress too!) xx

I would say avoid at all costs!! Their seamstress messed up my dress and tried to talk her way out of it. When I complained it felt like an attack on me. They agreed to dry clean my dress for storage and told I would have a letter of apology from seamstress. I was told the dry cleaning would take up to 6 weeks. 6 months later I called them as had heard nothing. It was in so I collected it on a cheap hanger that is bent (despite giving it to them on a nice fabric hanger) and it was in a bag with the bottom of the dress scrunched! I haven checked the quality of the dry cleaning yet as I can't face another problem with it so will check in a couple of days when I've calmed down). The 'apology' was no better. It was 2 sentences long saying she was sorry if I felt unhappy and once again made excuses. This is not an apology! To make it worse it was addressed to the wrong person! My maiden name begins with H. My married name begins with R. It's was addressed to Mrs Phillips! When I told the owner I was told to understand as it's human error. If you want to pay thousands for the dress of your dreams (I'd searched for a year and tried on over 100 dresses in 18 stores before thinking. Wow. This is the one) only to put it on and want to cry (great way to start your wedding day) then use them. Otherwise steer clear. Dissapointed and upset is an understatement. I got married in August and I still struggle to talk about it without crying.x

I'm really sad to have to write this review, but I think it's important to be honest, so others don't have the same experience as I did. I went for my first ever dress shopping experience on Saturday and had been recommended Mews by a colleague and our Florist. I was very nervous, and told the ladies on arrival. We were made to wear face masks, which was fine but it does make it very uncomfortable to try on dresses (especially when you're hot and nervous!) I had completed an enquiry form before arriving which stated I was looking for a dress with sleeves and that I wouldn't be able to try backless styles on. Unfortunately there was only 1 dress that fit my requirements. I think, given the store had this information prior to my arrival, they should have called to explain that I may not find a suitable dress there. It was a wasted trip and I felt completely humiliated as they insisted I try on a dress that I knew wouldn't support me. The sample sizes are tiny, not suitable if you are over a UK10. Even with pinning extra fabric in - it felt embarrassing. My first experience should have been a happy occasion but instead I left in tears and had to return home to my fiance absolutely devastated. I'm sure the Mews would be a lovely store for a slim, waif-ish figure but they need to be transparent that they simply do not cater outside of this niche - it would save other women the humiliation and disappointment of a wasted day.

Wonderful boutique experience. The most amazing service. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Beautiful dresses, they were next level in quality and design and so unique. The whole experience was dreamy. Even though I didn't buy my dress here in the end, I can't recommend this boutique enough. A really special and memorable experience.

A beautiful boutique with the most gorgeous French bridal gowns. The dresses are so modern and chic, you won't find anything like these anywhere else in the area. I was struggling to find a dress that felt like me amongst all the glitter, beads and bodices of the more traditional shops. As soon as I started trying the dresses in The Mews I new I would find the one there. Amazing quality, chic dresses and great service. I can't wait until my dress is ready and I can try it on again.
