The Lanes Hotel were able to accommodate my family of 5 in one room with a side seaside view. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgable of the area. They were able to provide the lounge for the rest of the family for my wife’s surprise birthday. Breakfast was brilliant! Pros: Friendly staff Near sound proof rooms (able to tone down sounds from the nearest nightclubs and love island experience). Provided a 5% discount card for selected restaurants nearby. Very large room able to fit two double beds, shelves, coffee table and dresser table. Cons: The Bathroom is too small but manageable No fan in the room Parking is limited to 5 cars, I would advise if you find a space at the hotel leave it parked there and travel around on foot, taxi or bus. Zone permits are £12 a day in zone c only

Right on sea front, clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast served quickly. Friendly staff, sea front rooms can suffer a bit from traffic noise, parking at hotel is available but limited. A great hotel and i would certainly stay there again.

We found the rooms and the hotel very comfortable //and warm on a night of gale force winds/. Good breakfast. Help available from the all the staff//Even a passing maintenance man. Thoughtful decor //the Noel Coward lounge is a 'must see'. Classic view of the Pier and the sea front from our rooms. Another visitor approved of the limited parking. The only slight problem is access for the disabled, but once inside everything is fine, including the lift. We didn't try the bar or the late night sandwiches. Another time. Handy for Brighton night life. A nice change from the usual 'chain hotels'

The room was clean, tidy, and had all necessary amenities. The hotel is of course pretty old but the interior is well decorated, including a couple of communal lounge/meal areas (I didn't dine). The staff were all really really friendly and helpful from the moment I walked into the place. And when I left something behind on checking out, they called me later to make arrangements for me to collect it. Excellent.

Clean tidy rooms, helpful staff. Breakfast is extra, parking is a pain. Nicely situated with views of the pier. If you are looking for a hotel that’s a bit more modern and up to date then this isn’t for you. Local conveniences close by.

A big shout out going to Mike, who went above and beyond for my partner and I. After getting in at 4:30am after a night out, we went out for a cigarette and asked if the water in the room was drinking water. On coming back, Mike had prepared a pitcher of ice water for us ready to take up to the room! Amazing service, very friendly staff. Will be staying at The Lanes Hotel whenever we are visiting the city in the future :)

We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are great value, clean, with all amenities plus thoughtful little extras, such as mini makeup/beauty packs in the bathroom. Super modern walk in shower in my room, towels and beds changed daily. 10 min walk to the Lanes and directly opposite the beach. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, highly recommended
