DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!
Really bad customer service! Cannot believe how they have changed since being taken over by Transform. Both myself and my Husband have used The Hospital Group in the past and had fantastic service from start to finish. This time, unfortunately my experience was less than fantastic!
Where do I begin....
I requested a price for Abdominoplasty, had a video consultation with the Consultant (for which I waited over an hour past my appointment time on video chat) - not a good start. I got my price - shocked to find how much they wanted and asked if they could fit within my budget. The lady I spoke to, who has since left without any notice and left me in the lurch, was at the time very helpful. That was also short-lived. The consultant had said it was a 2 night stay, and that he would pass the details over to the lady in bookings. When I rang and paid my deposit no mention was made of the number of nights required, we proceeded to book a face to face appointment with the Consultant at the next stage. When we arrived, and after the Consultation, the lady we spoke to said because it was 2 nights and not 1 we would have to pay an extra charge of £400 for the extra night! We explained the Consultant had stated 2 nights originally but apparently his notes hadn't been transferred over to admin!
Because of this, the date I had booked couldn't be fulfilled as they didn't have room in the Hospital for both nights. I then changed the date over to mid-November, however with lockdown I couldn't attend my appointment but nobody at the Hospital Group contacted me. I spoke to the lady to re-arrange to January, to which she replied the dates weren't available until the end of November for 2021 so she would contact me again in a week. Nobody rang again so I tried to contact the lady I had booked with by email and got an automated reply saying she had left and her emails were not monitored. Brilliant!!
I then tried to contact anybody at Hospital Group by telephone - left messages, no reply, no answer when I rang. I eventually got hold of the lady from Accounts who had previously contacted me by email regarding the balance payment (which I am so glad I never paid now). She was really helpful and when I asked for a deposit refund because I was sick of being messed around, she immediately sorted this out for me. Unfortunately since then I have not had a refund - they say it takes upto 28 days to refund (why??). I rang just before Christmas and their Finance department said wait until 31st December and then contact them again. I have been waiting 9 weeks now and still NO COMMUNICATION, just a generic answer to every review I have left for them on Trustpilot.
I will NEVER use this company again, I thought the other 1 star reviews were a bit far fetched considering our previous experiences, but NO, they are actually as bad as these other clients make out! This has no reflection on the Consultants, but the customer service attitude and approach to their clients is shocking! The lady I spoke to in Finance on Monday last week didn't even know the email address for their head office and seemed very uninterested, in fact it felt like she couldn't wait to get rid of me.
Disgusting treatment from what was a very reputable company.
