Firstly, a big up to the staff. Great customer service with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was great and nothing was too much trouble. Great location. Parking at the Park and ride 1 mile away was easy and the cheapest option with a quick bus ride that stopped right opposite the hotel. The rooms were old with a modern twist. Would definitely stay again....

5/ 5

We made reservations to eat here based off of location and other reviews. We were not disappointed! Our server, Manuela, was so attentive and had a great attitude! The food was most excellent: two of us got the beef roast, one the pork belly (as a roast), and I had the beef pie. Everything was delicious and we all loved our meals. The desserts were just as fabulous and I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding!

The building is old which is the case for most of the hotels in Oxford and which is absolutely fine. The staff was very nice, very welcoming and makes you feel at home. We stayed for a night and the breakfast (English breakfast) was good. Our room was a double bed room and had a bunk bed as well. The room was spacious and clean. But the floorboard had a loud creaking noise and it was all over the room not just a particular spot. That was a little annoying. It so happened that the room above us also had the same issue and the occupant kept moving around the room till 1.30 am and we just could not sleep due to the loud creaking noise. Also, the constant slamming of the doors till early morning was quite annoying as well. It seems the walls are thin. I will probably try other hotels if I go to Oxford again.
