The gym is big enough and the location ( for me) is great. To get in you need a pin code. I'm sure you can get a visitors one time code online. There are locker rooms but you will need to bring your own padlock, you can buy one in the place but they are expensive. I left my stuff unlocked a few times and nothing went missing ( love Edinburgh people and its low crime rate ). The gym has instructors and classes if you are interrested. Pretty sure you can book these via an app. There are shower rooms too. One thing the gym does not have is a swimming pool. This is why no 5 stars. But the price is something worth considering at 16.99 a month or so.

Good gym especially for the price. Recently renovated with a load of quality, new kit. Floor in the free weights section has a bit of an unevenness to it and also a bit bouncy which leads to benches wobbling and poor foot stability when performing certain exercises. Playlist is dreadful too! Ha! Certainly not gym music, more like something you'd hear in Asda!

Great place for a workout. Has a good selection of equipment to suit all needs. They have fully trained staff to help you with all your fitness requirements. You can get a varied selection of personal trainers all good at their job. Drinks and supplements are available from vending machines. The gym is kept in a very clean condition both in changing rooms and fitness area. Lockers are available and a showers to. All in all I highly recommend.

comparing to The Gym next to Waverley train station it lacks bench press racks. There is only 1 at Murrayfield and 4 at the other gym. Better go to The Gym next to Waverley for this reason. For cardio both gyms are good but for free weights Murrayfield gym is inferior. Very disappointing. Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting every 10 seconds in both gyms which is very annoying.

Decent commercial gym, well equipped and with a cheap subscription fee. They won't let you do any weightlifting though, despite having two Olympic platforms and bumper plates. I was told that other people could try to imitate me and they could get injured as a result (seriously). Its really silly to have bumper plates and Olympic platforms and not let members do any sort of weightlifting. What's the point of having them then? That's literally their explicit and only purpose. It's like having rowing machines but not letting people row in them. I wonder why they got them in the first place.

Great gym, good use of the space they have. Not the biggest area for free weights, but plenty of floor space where you put the mats down, where there are also extra medium sized weights, so it works well. People always put their weights back and clean after themselves here, which is amazing to me because where I'm from in Manchester, pretty much nobody does that. The tannoy guy that constantly says "it's that simple" though is really annoying, it makes me wonna rebel and do the opposite of what he says😂
