Very pleasant city pub and eccentrically friendly staff. Relaxed interior and reasonable range of St Austell ales (a guest ale would be innovative?) Recommended, but wish they would turn the non-stop music down a decibel or two. (Yes, Old Git and proud of it!)

Great location. Stayed here for 2 nights. Comfy bed, clean and earplugs supplied, as an old building with creaking floorboards, with pub downstairs. But this adds lots of character. Had tasty cocktails in the bar (15% discount for residents).
