The Grain Store edinburgh

First visit to Edinburgh, certainly won't be the last. So glad we found this little gem! With no reservation, we had our doubts they would fit us in, but so glad they did! The food was absolutely stunning, superb choices. Staff couldn't have been friendlier & a great selection of wines. Can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful setting, wonderfully atmospheric with it's stone walls and candlelit tables. The food was sensational, and the service without peer, we were made to feel we could have stayed into the small hours drinking at our leisure. Went here for the last evening of a short getaway, and it was a magical way to finish.

My mom and I asked a local man where a good place was to eat and they had recommended the Grain Store. We're so glad we decided to eat here! The restaurant is very welcoming, staff friendly, and the food was amazing and considering the quality of food, very good prices! If you get a window seat, there's pretty window boxes with flowers and fresh air on a nice day. Really nice place. I'd go back.

Over priced and over salted We started by trying to order some olives which were not available from a list of 2 appetisers Starters we had were the 6 oysters I thought they were good but the shallots in the vinegar had been there weeks by the taste of it very dry. My wife had the lobster ravioli which was nice but the pasta was just a touch thick. Mains were lamb and venison the meat on both dishes was well cooked the lamb fat needed to be rendered a bit more to make it really good. What let the mains down was the very limited vegetables on the plate and the horrifically over Salty sauces ruined both dishes. Toilets leave something to be desired and the wine prices wouldn’t be out of place at Tom kitchens Michelin starred restaurants Really expensive but wholly disappointing

I organised a Christmas lunch for my work colleagues at the Grain Store and we all absolutely loved it! The food was delicious and service was top class! Apart from the food and decor we were really happy with the music. Not the usual Christmas songs that you get bored of in October but classic jazz :) I would definitely highly recommend this place.

Paul, Lucy, Carlo and the entire staff at The Grain Store are absolutely the best! Impeccable service, and amazing food. One of the most pleasant dinning experiences I've had in a very long time. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend you will not be disappointed. Thank you again to the entire team for such a great evening.

We had an amazing meal, the venison was to die for. The girls who served us were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. Paul made our night really special and was so welcoming. We'll definitely book again next time we're in Edinburgh!

Set up inside Victoria' street arches, this is a hidden gem 💎 with the most inviting and accomodating people, all working to make your evening an unforgettable experience. Really makes a difference. Will definitely love it!! Can't recommend enough.

Very nice restaurant reasonable price, in a great location, very rustic traditional with stone walls. Would recommend to someone visiting Edinburgh. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

We had an amazing experience here. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was top notch. Paul and Lucy were fantastic. The chef, Carlo, is a WIZARD! LOVE THIS PLACE!
