Fine in reception but the GP was impatient - explained that I was stressed (hard week at work) but he was totally zoned in on the 5 minute slot length. I train NHS staff on the booking system too and appreciate how hard it can be for admin staff. No need for the GP to be so abrupt.

My mum goes here she has has lovely service from all staff and vac get appointments no yrotrou

Absolutely disgusted at the complete lack of compassion and social skills the reseptionist has, my 74 year old dad had lost is life saving medication somewhere on route to his holiday destination (abroad) I phoned to ask if they could send a prescription or something to the pharmacy or hospital over there and got told no they couldn’t after asking why a few times and stating my dad could die without this medication she mentioned if the doctor faxed them from abroad they could send a medical summary (this could have been said when I first asked) I proceeded to tell her that I knew her job was hard but she lacked the social skills to recognise that I was upset and that a bit of empathy would have helped , the doctors here are fabulous the receptionists are really uncaring and are unable to communicate with basic social skills which lets the surgery down

Completely incompitant reception staff need to be fully retrained or replaced. So disgusted with the lack of compassion towards there patients

Obnoxious reception staff as I read their web page about no tolerance to abusive behaviour it appears to only work one way and not apply to receptionists

I have just had the most friendly and helpful telephone conversation with nurse Helen Gaunt. She definitely knows her onions. Customer service standards are not always the best at this surgery but I came off the phone with a smile on my face. Thank you Helen. We need more people like you.

The team at the gables sorted out an issue I had with a doctor external to their surgery that doesn't work for them and simply used their premises during an out of hours service. The reception team were excellent and put the complaint through to the right channels leading to a satisfactory outcome despite this doctor and the out of hours service he worked for not being part of their surgery

First of all to give this surgery 1 star is a compliment but to leave a review you must choose a star unfortunately. Avoid this place like the plaque I have 4 children 2 with disabilities 1 being a small baby. No matter what time of the day you try to ring they will cut the phone off and they do not offer appointments with the gp. Mask laws have now ended I brought my daughter in after waiting 3 days for an appointment with a serious case of hay-fever needing treatment. And because my Autistic son with sensory processing difficulties struggles with his carer whoever that may be at the time, wearing a mask we were asked to leave the surgery. Meaning my 4 year old couldn't be treated. I rang today whilst my surgery is changed over to get an appointment for my 3 month old baby who has suffered with breathing difficulties since birth and was a neonatal patient for problems breathing, feeding and sleeping only to be told that they wouldn't offer an appointment for him. This is only a fraction of the amount of issues we've experienced over the last 3 years. When you dare to question them regarding ANYTHING, the reception staff send you a demeaning letter telling you you're abusive and it won't be tolerated. I'm sorry but what kind of parent wouldn't question the garbage the admin spout when it concerns their small children? I couldn't give a hoot about myself but this surgery does not carry out the duty of care they have to the children registered with them. Called the doctors this morning to speak to a doctor for pain relief for severe toothache and tooth infection and the receptionist believe it or not told me to get lost and go see a dentist knowing full well i don't have one? POOR SURGERY POOR RECEPTIONIST POOR SERVICE :(

The only mistake was that I didn't check the reviews before I registered with them, we always have a problem for no reason whatsoever, booking appointments - reschedule the appointments-getting the prescription-every single step is agony, no customer service, they don't bother to do anything to help you. And a lot more negative things I will leave it at that point Just thought to write this for other people who are looking to register with a new GP
