Best art gallery in Edinburgh. Painfully slow and indifferent service in the cafe though despite there being 4 staff on for about 20 customers - waited 20 minutes to be served a black coffee...

Wonderful space with engaging exhibitions. Brilliant shop with a wide range of items and gifts. Great that it's so close to the station.

The Annotated Reader show is fun. And you can take away your own book!

Beautiful wee space with interesting rotational exhibitions on both ground and upper floor. Also worth a visit in itself, the cafe here (Milk) is the best in the area with amazing coffee and a strong seasonal food offering. The cafe is popular and can get busy at peak times due to its central location. Bookshop is also great to browse and the books selected have been well curated.

Such a great experience and service from all staff was excellent! Beautiful food in the cafe therefore many thanks to Eddie (Manager) for his attention to detail in overseeing needs were met throughout. In particular a HUGE thanks to Finn who spent much time with us giving knowledge and background of the exhibition we viewed and to our delight the history of how the Fruit Gallery once was which made our afternoon even more special... Thank you Finn!

Really beautiful gallery in a great location. Fantastic, airy space. A must if you're into contemporary art. Also worth mentioning the excellent cafe and small but superb shop. The staff in both are lovely.

I went to this gallery last month, experienced extreme racism. Me and my friend, we are both coming from asian background. Thé guard of this exhibition, he deliberately stopped us and warned us to stay away from the painting in a rude and very impolite way, even though we are already very faraway from it. He intentionally stared n escorted us during the whole exhibition, made us feeling extremely uncomfortable. Meanwhile he claimed that he warns everyone to back off, but his rudeness and the tone of discrimination made us extremely irritating. I can’t believe in 21st century, we are still experiencing this sort of extreme racist behavior, i am pretty sure won’t be going back anymore!

Nice space. Gallery was being reset when we were there but we enjoyed breakfast and browsing the gift shop
