Don't be deterred by the bad reviews. It's a small clinic and lots of people visit it daily so there's going to be a wait. If you don't want the wait there's always the option to order a home kit. I've always had good experiences here and the doctors do well at making you feel at ease. As a student who lives in a big city which, surprisingly, doesn't offer local GUM clinics it's a big relief to have one here.

Was apprehensive because of the bad reviews, I found the receptionists lovely, my wait was about 45min which I didn't think was bad for 9am. The Dr I saw was reassuring and the nurse that took my blood was cheerful. It deserves much better reviews than it has.

Lovely, helpful and non-judgmental staff. Been here a few times for STD testing and also to get contraception and have been happy with my visit every time. There is often a wait but how could you expect anything less from a free clinic, if you're not happy to wait then take a home kit.

The first time I arrived was 15 minutes after opening on a Saturday and I was turned away and told to come back during the week. I came back during the week and was seen in good time and understand that other were seen before according to the risk of their conditions. However I saw a health professional who was drinking an energy drink in surgery - his mobile phone then went off halfway through my cervical examination and at the end of the appointment when I was asking questions was texting and replying to messages on his phone. I am glad that my health issues are resolved but I did not find it the most professional service that I’ve been to and it does not send a good message out to a patient.

Really glad I didn't let the bad reviews stop me coming here the Doctors and Nurses were so good and make you feel at ease. Some reviews mention being seen in a different order to arrival but it is clearly labelled in the waiting room that they do this so that you see the most suitable doctor for your symptoms.

Have sat on the phone for an hour being told I'm first in the queue only to then be cut off. Service provided in person is usually always good however there is always a very long wait, even at 7:30am!

Worst clinic ever, manager needs to get sacked! It takes ages to be seen by an nurse, yes, not even a doctor but a nurse. Since when can a nurse diagnose and give treatment?? Reception staff ask for very delicate details and then they are the ones who prioritise who gets a call back and who doesn't like they would have any idea what they are doing!

Awful experience, called last week with severe symptoms and I’m immunosuppressed the receptionist was dreadful said only urgent call backs I informed her the intimate detail of my urgent situation and she said even if I was on the list it doesn’t mean I’ll get a call back. What on Earth am I meant to do? Two days on the list got a call from a withheld number and no one on the other end when I picked up then received a text saying they had tried to call and I didn’t answer. No attempt to call me back, couldn’t get through to them when I immediately called back. No duty of care, no safeguarding for patients. It would be easier to speak to the Queen I suspect

They should get rid of the manager and the rude "lady" that answers the phone. It's about our health and they don't even care.

Staff I spoke to were friendly and knowledgeable, helped me make informed decisions and didn't rush me!
