My friend and I had a delicious Sunday brunch at this beautiful little hidden gem on the hill! I’ve been to this area many times and I didn’t even know it existed. The food was absolutely delicious, the desserts were spectacular and the atmosphere is adorable. The staff are so so so friendly and welcoming and their hospitality was amazing. Their whole menu just looks amazing and if I could, I would’ve tried a lot more! It was just simply delightful. Highly highly recommend

We absolutely love visiting the Dolls House. The American breakfast is gorgeous, with amazing fresh American pancakes. We visit every year for a cream tea to spoil my husband--their scones are delicious! Great menu, nice little location and lovely staff.

If the rating were just based on the food it would be 4* but the wait time is a bit ridiculous. It took over 90mins to receive a sandwich and a scone. The sandwich was delicious - lots of tasty fillings. We also ordered a jacket potato that was tasty. The scones arrived fresh and warm and were delicious. On the whole it’s a lovely little tea room with street parking outside, it’s just a shame about the slow service.

It's as cute as always however, that's where it stops. Having gone there for many years. I had to send back my eggs twice, having asked for sunny side up, came back turned over. Then, the chef asked me if I wanted to go down to the kitchen and show him, really, a chef that doesn't know how to serve a sunny side up egg. Not a good breakfast experience.

It main allure is being on the hill. After that its nothing special. We went for breakfast and they did not have many of the items from the menu I've added this bit after the establishments response. The waiting staff said the items we wanted were frozen.

A delightful oasis of tranquility up in the rarefied air of H on the H. Stopped by for a coffee and chat with a friend. Excellent coffee, with an extensive menu, should you need cake etc. Friendly staff and spotlessly clean, dare I still use the phrase #covid friendly?!

Me: I would like the lunch meal deal please, a brie and cranberry baguette Them: that's a hot lunch item, you can't have the meal deal with a hot lunch item Me: ok, there isn't much of a selection of cold items (choice of 4 sandwich fillings, which I didn't like), I think I'll leave it thanks Them: are you sure? You can have a cold brie and cranberry sandwich with the deal Me: thanks but I wanted a baguette Them: You can't, it's a sandwich Reply to owner: You did explain at the time (not as politely as you could have). At the time I was there it was quiet - I only remember seeing 2 in-house guests, who were already eating.

I don't normally write reviews but unfortunately this was a particularly disappointing visit. We came to the cafe recently, hoping for a lovely brunch. However, most items requested were not available, this is understandable given the national delivery driver shortage, however, the attitude of the staff was what made it particularly uncomfortable; as though any simple request was an inconvenience. We heard the staff then speaking about us amongst themselves. When the food that we were able to order arrived, it was cold and certainly did not taste as though it was freshly cooked. The high prices were clearly reflective of the location, rather than food quality or service. Unfortunately all of us who ate are there (and had the cold eggs) were ill for several days after. Really disappointing, if nothing else, I hope the staff consider whether it's an industry they actually want to be in, because their attitude certainly suggested otherwise.
