The staff are friendly, helpful and give good advice. Andrea Hung (Hygienist) has provided good service for me over the years and I rarely see the Dentist as a result. I would recommend them as where i went many years ago was nowhere near as good.

I was referred to this dentist because I am a nervous patient and required sedation. The dentist missed my vein then injected my other hand with less than the necessary amount of medication. My experience was horrific. Not only could I feel the procedure but when I cried out I was shouted at with the words “stop it, do you want to go to hospital?” This was yelled at me repeatedly. Afterwards he told my husband that I was ‘difficult’ and would not allow me out of the surgery until I stopped crying. There is absolutely no excuse for this behaviour from a professional, particularly one who is supposed to specialise in treating nervous patients.

Today I was booked in for my tooth extraction. I am absolutely delighted with my care from start to finish. I was referred here from my dentist Bupa as I required sedation which is offered here. Mr Kwaku thankyou soo much for making this surgical procedure an absolute pleasure. You made me feel safe comfortable and were professional throughout. Thankyou to the receptionist for helping me out the car as my legs were a little wobbly. Thankyou so so much. It's soo nice to know there are excellent and professional dentists still around as there are not many.

Well. I was referred here by my usual dentist about a month ago, for wisdom tooth extraction. I was told that it would take months for it to happen. My appointment was this morning! I was told that it would just be a consultation, that being almost five months pregnant I would probably only get the tooth removed once the baby is born. Honestly, after reading the reviews and seeing the photo of the exterior of this practice (my usual dentist is much more modern) I spent all night panicking and planning to find another surgery to do the work. I turned up and within five painless minutes I had a tooth in a jar. Absolutely brilliant. I'm even considering switching to this dentist rather than the one that I usually use. Barely any time waiting for appointments, really quick treatment, fantastic, friendly staff. I don't know whether the bad reviews here are about a different dentist at the surgery, but I can't fault it. And no, this review was not paid for (which one older post has suggested).

1/ 5

I was a patient for nearly two years here and throughout that time I never saw the same dentist more than once, I was moved around so that at each new appointment they had no idea what was going on with my teeth. Procedures that should have been done in one sitting were spread out over two or three but I stayed with this dentist anyway because believe it or not they weren't as terrible as my previous one and they were local. In the end I changed because I had a horrible experience here. I had been in an accident abroad and had only just come back after being in hospital for over a week there and a week in the UK. I was on crutches and had been smacked in the face, shattering some of my front teeth. The nerve of one front tooth was exposed and I was in a lot of pain. I hadnt been able to eat properly for over two weeks and was living off of soup and soft foods I could chew on the undamaged side of my face. I was also extremely self conscious and unable to leave the house because of how it looked. This was explained on the phone and I was booked in for emergency appointment. Once I got there, they were clearly in a rush to see me as I was the last patient. The dentist spent about 30 seconds looking at my teeth before concluding that yes it was broken and there nothing she could do that day. That will be £20 please :) I was told she'd book me in for an appointment in 2-3 weeks time as it wasnt an emergency. Clearly this was some kind of joke as I physically couldn't eat and you could see the nerve hanging out of a front tooth! At this point I started crying and begging them to help me. If they couldn't fix it permanently that day could they at least offer something temporary? Nope they just wanted to charge me for the joke of an appointment and kick me out so they could go home. At this point I was surrounded by staff, telling me to get a grip and leave, including an elderly man who told me I needed to take myself to hospital as i was clearly unwell. He kept saying I was upset from the injury that had me on crutches and not my teeth. For context, I wasnt screaming or weeping, I was just quietly crying and asking if there was any solution to weeks of pain. In the end I had to push past this group to get out as the man threatened to call an ambulance since I was 'not fit to be out of hospital'. Fun fact, I called a private dentist as soon as I got home. Had my teeth treated and repaired the next day in less than half an hour. I can't tell you how pleased I am with that service and i dont think I'll ever risk going back to an NHS dentist where they drag out treatment over multiple appointments and turn you away when you clearly need help.
