The Day Spa – sunderland

Horrendous customer service. I’ve never known anything like it. Rude staff, unclean salon, smear marks everywhere. Very evident that the staff have no love for what they do nor actually want to be there. Wish I’d read the previous negative reviews before booking as they are accurate.

I will start with a positive note to say Sharon is a nice friendly staff. The place does not look inviting nor can be a place to relax if you fancy any treatment for relaxation eg (massage/facial treatments etc). The room that I was taken was a decent size for a bathroom which I believe they are using for loads of treatment as the items used are just at site to see. Being in a pandemic, the cleanliness is not up scratch as used waxing materials etc is at site and not clean with a dirty sink. The treatment bed with pillow and towel that appears to be not changed and wash for months or so as visible marks can be seen. I used IPL treatment and had a patch test with no reaction so had my first session. They used ice pack no gel for the treatment. I'm not sure if the ice pack are clean or they have been using after each customer which is for me a big No No!. I had my armpit IPL done after first session my one armpit is completely BURN and whilst the other appears to look like a patch burn. As you can imagine the effect to a woman's confidence and now looking for a treatment for it. As precaution to others please use only professionals, well skilled and trained.

My daughter and I had our eyebrows done today! We both love our new brows! Beautiful clean shop and staff very friendly! Booked our next appointment!

In these current circumstances why even bother giving such negative feedback!! I visit this salon at least once a month. Both Sharon & Mel are lovely friendly ladies who both are very professional. I’ve been today for waxing which isn’t a pleasant treatment but Mel talked to me all the way through which really helps taking your mind off the pain (which quickly goes) I finished off with gel nails. It’s a 10 out of 10 from me girls your both doing a great job 😁

Ive had my eyebrows tinted and my lashes tinted and also a lash lift this is my 3rd time going into this lovely salon, its very homely and the staff are amazing, there very friendly and fantastic at what they do, i used to be a salon owner and would highly recommend the day spa and the staff for making me feel so comfortable thanks girls
