Lovely location great building of character. We had a roast dinner which was really good plenty of choice and food was cooked well. Also gluten free options which we found very helpful. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Superb place to stay. Rooms are clean, tidy & had an amazingly comfy bed. Pub food was more than I expected & was of the highest quality. Would I stay again? Without a doubt. Great to stay somewhere so pleasant, especially when away with work.

Called in for couple of beers to say farewell to one of our work colleagues, off to Australia. Very welcoming place, open log fire, traditional country pub and good service. Have called in previously for food and was good. A little pricey but service was excellent and attention to detail commendable. Good sized parking close by and is an excellent venue in the summer with outside seating. Well worth a try.

Stayed over at this historic pub in a beautful 'attic room'. Felt like I was on Four in a Bed but couldn't fault it. Very clean and tidy, with just the right amount of accoutrements in the room for me. It might feel a bit small for two people but for one it was luxury! Highly recommend this place.

Just had the roast for £15 was well worth it, everything was cooked lovely especially the veg (don't like it when veg is overdone) and the Yorkshire's were impressive too. Lovely atmosphere and great service!

Great country pub in Somerset. Service is superb with friendly staff. My Wife and I were visiting but there appeared to be a good number of locals in attendance, always a good sign. Food is of excellent quality. Highly recommended if you're hungry and nearby.

Someone must really love this place and understand service well.  It's a lovely old building in a peaceful spot, beautifully kitted out with stylish artwork.  Welcome was good and my room was comfortable had an excellent shower. The evening meal, included in my deal, was very good indeed. A high standard of flavours and presentation.  Service was very attentive and responsive.  The bar and restaurant areas are lovely and cosy, but not cramped.  The whole place has a nice vibe. I had kippers for breakfast....usually a good test of quality...and they were cooked to perfection. In summary, a touch of class and style and decent value.
