My favourite pub and restaurant! This is a cosy, beautiful pub with excellent service. The log fire adds to the countryside feel of the pub and makes the setting a comfortable one to enjoy a drink. Always kept very clean and well decorated. They host many events outside and the grass area is great for family, friends and children. The food is great and the menu offers something for everyone. The outdoor seating area and gardens are beautiful in summer and the service is efficient and friendly. Pub quizzes are enjoyable here with a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this pub.

Disappointing. First of all both my first choices of starter and main course were not available, and this as early as 7:00pm. The black pudding in my second choice starter was overcooked. After main courses were cleared away we waited and waited for main courses. After about half an hour the waitress came and asked if we would like to see the dessert menu, at which we pointed out that we had not yet been served our main course! She disappeared, not to be seen again. Eventually one of my friends stopped a passing waitress and asked about our main courses and she went in search of them. Finally our main courses appeared with an apology that they had taken so long. As soon as I started to eat my sea bass it was obvious that it had been left standing for quite some time, as it was as stiff as cardboard. When the waitress asked if our meals were all right, we pointed this out to her (2 of us had ordered the sea bass). She apologised and took our plates away, then came back to say that they would be re cooked and would be about 7 or 8 minutes. This meant that the third member of our party ate his meal first and had finished before the other 2 of us even started! When our sea bass finally arrived it was properly cooked and was good, but the third member of our party then had to sit and watch us eat. Hardly a pleasant experience, and not the treat intended for my friend's birthday! I don't think we will be rushing back to the Calverley Arms. We have both recently logged on to the Vintage Inns loyalty app, but if this is the level of service we receive, I don't think we'll be using it again in a hurry.

Food (Sunday lunch) fantastic and breakfast wasn't bad either. Bedroom freezing and entire half of building without heating. Bed not especially comfortable. Strangely, Windows left open after housekeeping despite the storm.

Excellent. Ate in with my family and the staff were so attentive and lovely and the chef was incredibly kind to my fussy mum. Ive also just had a delivery of lobster fishcakes and a hunters chicken which made me feel like i had my own high class chef in the house. Absolutely beautiful food. Nicely presented and so fresh, tasty and juicy. The chef should be real proud.

Had a really good stay here. Efficient service from check in lady who was also on duty at breakfast. Decent food. The room was spacious, clean, well laid out but it was very warm (much warmer than outside even with a fan blowing cold air in through the window). Plenty of sockets and USB charging points. Good shower. I would go back. Update: I've been back! Went through a brief spell of being over budget but happy to report that in December the room is a pleasant temperature and the staff are as friendly as they were the first time round.

This is our local pub that we can walk to. Decent range of beers, larger and wine. The food is good, plenty of choice on the menu and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly, plenty of tables both inside and out. Large car park so parking isn't a problem. It's also a dog friendly pub. Highly recommend a visit.

We went for my friend's birthday. We felt a little disappointed with the service. We were shown to our table and that was it for 30 minutes. Nobody asked if we wanted drinks. We went to the bar to get our own drinks. Eventually our food order was taken, which was nice but nothing special.
