I love the botanic gardens and the little demonstration gardens around the cottage and the cottage is lovely inside and out. I think the botanic gardens should be Edinburgh's no 1 tourist destination.

The Cottage was not open when we visited the Royal Botanical Gardens but there is loads of info about the educational value of the cottage and the gardens. The Gardens are absolutely worth the trip. Great entertainment and information centre.

Fantasticly interesting, we found out about newly discovered varieties of potato and got to plant our own broad beans. Lovely very knowledgeable ladies happy to help and answer our questions. Still one of my all time favourite places in Edinburgh come rain or shine.
