A remarkable pub. Has won many pub of the year awards and you can see why. Food very basic - a wide variety of different filled rolls - but very tasty. Beer excellent. Dark Mild was extremely tasty and bitter excellent. Small, ancient interior and spacious beer garden in beautiful surroundings. Gents toilets might be described as... antique. Overall the sort of unspoiled gem that attracts people from miles around.

The Bell is always a fantastic visit: simple, good food and a great pint, with a games cupboard and a wood burner to boot. PS I think they were taking card by mid December - they certainly had a machine that I could see.
