I popped into Tesco's Withington Rd branch to pick up a couple of items. I'm giving 5*s to the remarkable Romanian cashier lady for her customer service skills. She was bubbly with a happy go lucky personality. She even gave me a tip on warming the puff pastry mince pie that l bought. Lovely tip. A credit to you beautiful lady & good luck to you in the future.

I did not have a good experience today 27.3.19 I was not offered a push trolley and there were none by the door, I therefore did my shopping with a basket it got very heavy, I am a 67 yr old disabled woman When I asked the cashier why there were no push trolleys he said they didn’t do them , when I saw the manager I also asked him he said they had all been stolen but he would provide one if I asked As their was no sign to inform me of this I did not feel satisfied NO ONE was sympathetic or even particularly polite and the cashier then ignored me while I carried on packing my shopping and a queue formed behind me I felt quite upset and WILL NOT be shopping at Whalley Range Express again Sincerely Ms F Greenmantle

I do not go to tesco usually but this is nice little place in the area which I love for its range of products and lovely staff. It has all the modern facilities ample parking spaces and unmanned tills. I also found out today that there are lots of prices difference between normal customers and club card holders and it was a surprise for me. Recommended place.

4/ 5

Was passing and needed a few bits so went into this tesco, the staff seem miserable and the store does not look good. The only reason I am giving 4 stars in because after asking what looked like a manager were an item was and just being pointed in the direction and made to feel a nuisance, when we got to the area we had been pointed we asked CHRIS were the item was he took us exactly to were it should be and when the shelf was empty he went into the back and came out with a box from the back. He went the extra mile, did it with a smile and with his own initiative and made our day and saved us taking a trip to another shop. Absolute legand and other staff should learn what customer service is from this guy. Thank you Chris keep up the good work.

Only one member of staff on the tils and self service cards only which extended the queue. Rather an obnoxious and very loud lady having a conversation on her phone the whole way around the whole store in 200 fully unfiltered decibels! She held the queue up even further by continuing her call the whole time the cashier tried to pack her bags then decided she wanted to pack her own and made him unpack them as she slowly repacked them whilst booming a load more trivial nonsense out of her large and foul mouth! The cashier was lovey but needed help and we as customers expect better and faster standards of service from Tesco at the express/extra stores given the hiked up prices they mark some of thier goods up with in comparison to the prices of the same goods in thier larger stores. I started feeling really frustrated and anxious as I queued in a long queue that did decrease by one customer at one stage for roughly 10 minutes whilst the Motor mouth chatted bubbles to her pal like she had all the time in the world to kill but we didn't so they should of attempted to move her on quicker and continued to serve the ever growing customers in the queue who didn't have time to stand waiting to pay for such a ridiculous amount of time! AND NO SIGN OF A MASK TOUCHING MS GOBBY'S FACE THE WHOLE TIME SHE BELLOWED ALL HER BUSINESS ACROSS THE WHOLE AREA OF THE STORE! Sorry bit not the best experience attempting to 'nip in and out' of this inparticular store earlier today!
