Today the security guard stopped me for inspection after I finished my shopping, when I walked through the door and the alarm was on. He said he needs to check my grocery and I told him that even when I came to the store and passed through the door the alarm was on so it’s not my fault, and several people were passing through the door and the alarm kept sounding, he noticed that but he stopped me amoung all these people. After he checked my shopping bag and the receipt and everything was alright he didn’t even apologised to me. The alarm was like this for several days without fixing it. It was a very embarrassing situation, and the staff are very rude. I live nearby but it is the last time that I step in this store.

My customer experience in this store is terrible. They have a row of manned tills and three self check-out tills. There's no signage anywhere in the store indicating where customers have to queue, and if there is, it's very well hidden. So you get customers forming their own queueing system down the narrow Isles. Some days there's just one queue for all the tills, other days there's two qeues for either the manned tills or the self check-outs. When there's one queue, you get that awkward situation when a self check-out till becomes free but the customer in front doesn't go to it and holds everyone up. And if there's two queues and the one for the self check out ends, if I am the first to form a new queue I get accused of trying to push in by the customers in the other queue because they didn't realise that there was previously two queues!!! The management need to decide whether there should be one or two queues and put up very clear signage, maybe even a queue belt devider. At the moment it's chaotic and confusing in there and I won't be returning again. I don't want to argue my way to the self check-out tills everytime I'm in there. It's not a very good customer experience at all.

This shop has never been great but it seems to be getting significantly worse. They had very few fruit and vegetables when I went in today, no frozen produce and actually only about three things I had on my list... It's not a big store and understandably doesn't stock a huge range of products however this Tesco doesn't even stock the bare essentials. The only positive I can say is that this evenings security guard was very helpful, directing people to tills and advising as to where things should be... unlike the security guard I usually see who is very rude and unpleasant.

Store too small, more self service than real people. There were cages blocking isles. Wasn't overly impressed..

Hi, ever since I've moved back to B&H and had some serious health issues (still ongoing), I was always 'appy to go to this store specifically because of an security guard who is in his probably mid 50s, never had I've met a more well behaved gentleman, so kind, helpful, funny and an example to the younger generations how a man should behave! I can't put in words how this man is being so positive, throughout the pandemic I could see him and hear him encouraging people in the queue, speaking shortly to folks and at least for a minute making them feel special in terms of being human. This kind Sir has kept his cool even after the worst was over in terms of Covid, God bless you kind Sir! Cheers

This Tesco near the Hove station is a lot quieter than the bigger branch near George Street however it’s good to go during the weekdays especially since you can easily go to the self checkouts to avoid large queues and to keep your distance from each other. I would give this branch 5 stars and 9 out of 10 because of how close this is to the nearest train station. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Terrible place small cramped you can't get to some of the shelves because they have boxes stacked up in front of them A worker was stocking the shelves he just threw plastic right in front of the aisle which you could hardly get through because he parked the cage right in the middle..a lady on crutches nearly went over because he chucked plastic wrapping right in front of her! Long queue at the till because the same guy who was busy trying to kill the customers was also working on the till he was busy on his phone! Security guard had to yell to him several times ...think the guys name was Tim or Tom he eventually shuffled over one of the customers asked why was he blocking the aisle and why he nearly caused the poor lady to fall..he just shrugged and said he didn't see her.... Rude, surly, uncaring staff ..shop itself is chaotic and dangerous..oh and "Tim or Tom" was not wearing a mask and had no visible signs he was exempt...seeing as you literally had to squeeze pass him to get anywhere he's a walking health hazard
