Tesco Esso Express brighton

A good convenient shop - with helpfull hard working stuff, Not much more one can say...!

The managers and staff at this store can't manage the queue, opening more tills when needed. This is not a one off rant, the queue at this Tesco's petrol station is always long with too few staff on the tills. I'm not a fan of self-service tills but they do mean you can have fewer humans interacting with customers, but as you don't have any in this busy store it means, Tesco, you have to man the tills with staff. Today the queue was all the way up the middle isle and then half way down the beer one - there must have been 15 people in the queue with two oblivious staff serving. You're losing money, people were walking out, including myself.

BIKERS, BEWARE!! Apparently they "have been told by the police to request removal of helmets" but it looks like the police never bothered to finish the job they started because they are the only petrol station in Brighton that enforces this policy. The fact that they get frustrated and aggressive does not help either. I just wish they used a different excuse for their little weird rule.

Good price for petrol being so near the city. Shop has better choices than the nearby local Express itself

Not open 24 hours any more. That’s fine, they can close when they want, but the hours listed on here should be changed to reflect that too.

02/05/2020, Saturday afternoon: 3 shop floor shelf stackers not respecting social distancing, all brushing past my baby and I as if times haven't changed. Appreciate that all supermarket staff are putting themselves at risk but that means they need to be extra careful and considerate
