Had a lovely afternoon today at the Hilton for my mother's birthday. Hxavier was very well informed and provided a fantastic service. My personal favourite tea was Rose and French Vanilla iced tea - lovely and refreshing. There is a great selection of sandwiches and cakes and they also provided fab gluten free choices for my mother who has coeliacs. I would definitely recommend Afternoon Tea at Hilton - a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Had a rather terrible experience here on Sunday all regarding customer service. We were booked for afternoon tea. Started with a wait of 20 minutes to just take our tea order whilst our sandwiches stood waiting on a sideboard away from our table. The sandwiches were delicious though. It was then a further 15 minutes wait after our sandwiches were cleared until scones were brought out and they had been overcooked and were rock hard. We then had a further wait of 40 minutes until our desserts were brought to the table (no staff around). Due to the lengthy wait we asked for them to be wrapped to be taken away and were informed this was not policy and we would have to sign a waiver which we were happy to do so. We then had to wait a further 10 minutes until 3 members of staff worked out how to print off the waiver. Once signed we were then asked if we would like deserts packed to takeaway. There were then placed unwrapped in a paper bag. The desserts were lovely but the service we experienced was horrendous and so disappointing for a hotel that displays the Hilton name.
