Sweet Mandarin manchester

My friends and I ate in Sweet Mandarin. The foods are great but their plates and cutlery’s are dirty because there’s still had a piece of rice and vegetable on cutlery’s. After we finished eating, we took our bills and we want to add tips on our bills for waitress/ waiter but they said the tips doesn’t go with them! That’s chicky because the waiter/waitress are doing there job properly and in the end, they don’t get any tips. What’s the point giving a tips if it goes to charity? However , the food is great.

Made a reservation for a special occasion and we were not disappointed. Food was excellent and we were very well looked after from making the initial booking to leaving the restaurant. Staff and owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening. We will definitely return.

We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. The wait staff lost our order so we had to give it to them again. Our drinks took ages to come as well. The only thing to come quickly was the bill. There were a LOT of wait staff but they were extremely young and lacked anyone senior or experienced to guide them. Customers had to step in to tell them what to do. They just milled about talking amongst themselves. We weren't an isolated case. We witnessed several groups leaving before their orders had been taken. On the positive side, when it arrived the food was delicious.

Went here with my partner who is coeliac, they have a fantastic selection of Gluten free dishes, and cater very well for people with allergies. The young lad who served us was incredibly courteous and more than happy to help with anything. Fantastic food and fantastic service!

Went here for joint celebration of my birthday and my mum's. The staff here went out of their way to make us feel special. The service was warm, friendly and efficient, and the food was spectacularly tasty! Can't recommend this strongly enough.

The food and service was excellent! If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, I would. We went for my birthday and they were kind enough to give me a birthday card. Super sweet touch. I will recommend to everyone I know and we will become regulars there! Planning on going again in a couple of weeks. Thank you so much and thank you for giving multiple gluten free options. Such a great place and atmosphere. I highly recommend!

What a fantastic find! I researched the area for gluten free restaurants when due to be staying in Manchester and came across Sweet Mandarin. It’s amazing to finally be able to eat Chinese food again after many years living a gluten free diet! Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, assuring me that everything was cooked separately. Portions were generous (so much so that I had to take some away as I couldn’t eat it all!). Highly recommend and would gladly go again next time I’m in Manchester! Thank you!

Excellent customer service from the start! With a long list of food allergies to accommodate, nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious! Great portion sizes too - I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough! They even wrote me a birthday card - it's these little extra touches that make them stand out!

An absolutely perfect Chinese restaurant!!! We went on my Birthday with my girlfriend who is a coeliac and were very impressed by how everything marked is separately and prepared safely for those who eat gluten free or have any other allergies! An absolute must visit in Manchester, the best Chinese around! The food is amazing and the portion sizes are very good! All should visit!

Absolutely love this place. Food and staff were great. It has an amazing gluten free menu. Will be visiting again soon
