I have rang twice in the last month.. Once for myself and once for my child. I wanted to book an appointment for 2 weeks in advance as I knew I had time off. Was told on both occasions there was no appointments available aside from phone on the day. It is not practical due to working pattern. On neither occasion was I offered the extended availability on a weekend. Luckily due to a friend working in this field I was aware of it so requested it. It cannot be acceptable for a family practice to not offer an appointment or an alternative.

To the receptionist with short blonde hair and glasses I never seem to get a good reception from you just bad attitude. Don't ever tell my daughter off for something she never did, I'm her parent, ill discipline her if she has done wrong.

Had a receptionist snap down the phone at me about how I get my prescriptions delivered to me, I felt as though they were having a go that I requested repeats rather than try to get an appointment to get a prescription (which literally takes about 3 weeks), which at the end of the day is MY choice to make, not theirs. When I tried to explain why I had my prescriptions delivered to the door the receptionist started conversing with another staff member as I was in mid sentence, then barked an 'alright, bye' down the phone and put the phone down. I was startled as I thought the role of a receptionist was to be polite to patients and communicate in a professional manner. I don't ever post negative feedback but I was taken aback at how short the staff member was with me, and as a person that also works in a customer service environment I would never consider speaking to a client/patient with such an abrupt attitude. Apologies, but I don't think I deserved such a response from the reception staff as I did.

I've used the practice mainly with my 3 year old and now 8 week old baby. The reception staff have always been lovely and helpful. Whilst some of the doctors haven't been amazing, both Dr powde and Dr Oehring are lovely, both in terms of knowledge and just both so easy to talk to. Also, saw Dr Thomas for the first time for my daughters 8 week check up and she was also lovely with daughter and very friendly.
