Summertown Barber oxford

My experience here yesterday, a Saturday morning, was completely different from Chris David's. It was pretty busy. All three barbers were in action, but I only had to wait five minutes. Gave me the chance to see how much attention they were paying to their customers' requests during the cutting and trimming. They looked to me to be very responsive, which was reassuring. When it was my turn, Adam did the task efficiently, courteously, expertly. He did it how I wanted. Turned out he was the proprietor himself, and he's been a hairdresser for over twelve years in Oxford. There was time for a friendly conversation with him during the 15 minutes it took. It cost £14.50, which is roughly what it costs in the city centre. I was very happy to add a tip for good service, which took it to £16. That's not cheap but it's not expensive either. The price for kids, OAPs and students is £12.50 on Mondays through to Thursdays. This was my first visit. I'll be going back. I have no connection whatsoever with Summertown Barbers, and this is not a fake review.

My normal barber was busy so I went here to check it out. Firstly it's really cheap, like £7 less than the one up the street. This made me suspicious about the quality immediately. I walked in and the place was empty. I look around for a bit and someone walks through from another room. I ask her if they're open and she sarcastically responds with "that's what it says on the door right?". This woman is also rocking a classic 1 all over look, not exactly the type of look to inspire confidence in a potential hairdresser. Paired with her spiky attitude, and the complete lack of any other customers(victims), I decided to get right out of Dodge. I assume a lot of the positive reviews are fake. I'm not really sure what clientele they're aiming for in an upmarket area like summer town.

A nice barbershop in a good location in Summertown. They give some of the quickest and most efficient haircuts you can get without sacrificing quality. If you want to take your time and converse with your barber then this isn't the place for you, but if you're busy and want to get in and out fast, there's nothing more you can ask for here.

I have been going to this barbers for years. Never disappointed. Mostly I have my hair done by Sandra. Always gets it exactly how I want it and always have a good chat when I’m there. Really friendly and professional and always asks after my daughter. Couldn’t recommend more.

Over the past several years I’ve been coming to get my haircut at this shop, I always leave feeling very good about the appearance of my hair all thanks to Mo who I think is the best barber I’ve ever come across. I thoroughly recommend Summertown barbers as a great place to go and have a great haircut.
