Rude staff. After queuing for 45 minutes I was kicked out of the queue for repeating verbatim 'we can't go in yet, there are people on the stairs' apparently that is enough to merit exclusion. I would not recommend anyone waste their time trying to get into this venue when their are a dozen more welcoming Mancunian venues which are more welcoming to any friendly face. I hope this place runs into bankruptcy soon, because it is not what Manchester's night life is about

Very exclusive to a majority of people, was not easy for all ethnicity's to fit in due to genre of music, was good to some ears, but mine individually not so much as i couldn't recognize the music as easily. I felt their was to much anticipation leading up to this club as are night-out ended their with us all expecting to be completely different to what it was.

As tastes in nightclubs are very personal and music played is hard to capture in words here's a review containing some basic facts that would have been helpful to us as a stranger to Manchester this weekend. The nightclub is clean but small compared to the impression given by clever photography on its website. The staff were professional and searched me thoroughly. The music on the Sat night was R&B/rap/grime only. This proved popular with a mainly black/Asian audience but my feet were too used to Dance anthems to get into it (apart from a Timberland track I recognised). Drinks were £6 for v and coke. Tix were free from Skiddle. None of the above should be seen as a negative. Hope this proves useful to someone.

  • In Roman times, Newcastle – then called Pons Aelius – was a fort on Hadrian’s Wall, and during the Saxon period, it was known as Monk Chester on account of its many religious houses. The city owes its present name to William the Conqueror who, like Hadrian before him, recognized its strategic importance.
