I rarely leave bad reviews for places, but this place really took the biscuit. I arrived with my friend with a broken ankle and we were told the waiting time was about 4 and a half hours. This isn't usually an issue, but we arrived at 5pm and their close time is 10pm. At 8pm, they called people in one by one to tell us that they aren't going to see us as they need to prioritize emergencies before they close. This is annoying, but we would've given them a pass if they hadn't given us a piece of paper promising fast track the next day, only for it to be dismissed when we showed up the next morning and queued regularly like everyone else. Not to mention that the act of bringing everyone in one by one to tell them to get lost wastes so much of everyone's time including their own.

i attended the UTC on July 8 and again on July 15 following an accident on holiday. Wait times were as I expected but once seen all of the staff were lovely, particularly Michelle on reception and the doctor who reviewed my x-rays confirming breaks in my arm and foot. The centre is so busy and I felt they did an amazing job.

SEPSIS SYMPTOMS OVERLOOKED/MISSED Took my mum here with a very serious symptoms of infection. We were poorly treated and overheard staff in staff room laughing about my mums condition as I was stood outside the consultation room (multiple staff members heard also laughing). Lots of important checks we’re not carried out and found out later on the checks that were, weren’t even recorded in her clinical notes. Wasn’t happy with the treatment at all so went on the hunt to get a second opinion that day ....later that day she was referred to hospital by a DOCTOR. She had an urgent operation that day, spent almost 5 months in coma on life support, spent the majority of her stay in critical care unit, was told multiple times she would not make it through the night, she had life changing surgery and 7 operations in total. Got massively fobbed off by staff here and quite literally got laughed out of the place. It was very degrading. If you don’t like your profession as a nurse or have no empathy towards patients then you’re very much in the wrong job and should reconsider. Lacked training, knowledge, empathy and general care for their patients. Cannot speak for all staff on site but for those I had encountered that day this a review based on my experience that day. If it wasn’t for us going to get a second opinion that same day from somewhere else then my mum would have died! Had to give 1 start in order to write this review so others can see and make an informed decision about attending this clinic or not. I’ve seen multiple comments on here about NHS finding it hard at the moment but there is no excuses for poor care, manners and lack of empathy. Gives a very poor representation of how brilliant the NHS can be and that saved my mums life at QA hospital Portsmouth. Already made staff aware of this in hope that this wouldn’t ever happen to anyone else but also wanted others to be informed. I am entitled to review on our experience. Would not recommend at all.

Sometimes great service sometimes quite bad. Guaranteed long wait times. The staff must be stressed to death and I wish they would be allowed to hire more as it's a lose lose situation currently

Went there as per my local GPs recommendation due to potentially have chest infection after 3 weeks of complete enfeeblement so treated as urgent. I was in and out within 2 hrs. Lovely paramedic lady & her student nurse assistant sounded my chest etc and gave me what i needed to shake off the tail end of what has been a really horrible cough/cold/flu whatever. If this wasn't covid, I dread to think what covid feels like. Anyway, cannot fault this place. Thank you a thousand times over. KadenThompson.com
