Beautiful cathedral, Grand Gothic Medieval building with colourful stained glass windows and Presbyterian place of worship, where John Knox first and used to preach carrying the history of Scotland. I highly recommend everyone to visit this stunning breathtaking architecture as you walk down the Royal mile. We really enjoyed our day the weather was brilliant. We'll definitely come again May break awesome. Cafe downstairs reasonable prices with homemade dishes, a wide selection of hot, cold food and drinks. Very friendly, helpful staff and volunteers. Clean and tidy environment. There's a very informative board that highlights things to pay attention to and where they are within the cathedral. Entrance fee is voluntary suggested donations of five pounds per visit plus two pounds to all the who want to take pictures. They don't mind any amount though for the upkeep of the cathedral.

Well preserved cathedral in the heart of Edinburgh. Donations accepted and encouraged but most people just file in for free. After our donation, the attendant gave us stickers that "allowed" us to take photos. Didn't feel special...everyone can!!!

Wow!! What a stunningly beautiful and awe inspiring cathedral. Didn't think the inside of this building could be much more impressive than the outside... how wrong we were!! Definitely worth a visit especially given the location.

Loved this place! It is definitely worth visiting. The staff are incredibly helpful and so informative. We asked a fair few questions and they were so knowledgeable on the lovely building. The gift shop was very unique too. We'll worth more than the £5 suggested donation

Saw a concert by London Concertanta here in the start of December. A great place for such a concert, the acoustics were brilliant, the surroundings spectacular and warmer than I was expecting. I will be going back to have a guided tour to better understand the centuries of history within it's walls.

Outside the world is going mad in a busy city, but inside the Cathedral you are taken back through time with a still magic. The walls are covered in history and the bravery and ultimate price Scottish servicemen sacrificed for this great country. Take your time and breath in history as you look at the incredible stain glass windows of giants like John Knox and other Scots who were pioneers of their age. Beautiful location and a must to see.

St Giles' was fab to walk around, especially as you don't have to book in advance. Free admission, although we donated some money after reading some of their signs. Lovely to see so much history in one place, although it's a shame some sections were closed off due to restrictions. Would recommend a wander round, although there is currently nowhere to sit and take it in.
