A real contrast in some of the staff in Springburn Library. Most couldn't be more helpful, and are very friendly and considerate, but one member of staff couldn't be more of the opposite. A normal conversation with them will cause them to become arrogant and sarcastic. They were even that way towards another member of staff when I was there. Definitely not the type of person who should be working in customer service.

Springburn library is the Heartbeat of the Community. There's always something going on, story telling for kids with great patient helpful staff always willing to help out, offering a vital Community service. The staff offer so much more than just signing out books, they are multi skilled, dealing with library users, problematic children, stressed adults, the Mentally ill, individuals with learning disblities, Refugees, and Pensioners, who can learn learning basic I.t skills that many need support and guidance in this modern world of hi tech, that is beyond many without sipoort. Librarians are so much more now, very underated Talks of prospective cuts to the service provided or continues reduced hours fill the locals with dread dismay. Any observers can see what they deal with in a daily basis there . The library is so important and a goto place in a crisis for many. They need to get the full service up and running, Lbraries are not a thing of the past but a central part of everyday life for many, whether its newspaper, or in my case I often use the printer. It's not their job to offer advice on I.T, but if they can help they do, Wonderful service and extremely underrated. Love the place. Its the centre of life in Springburn for many and goto place in an emergency. Thank you Springburn library staff you are appreciated.

Was told I couldn't spend more than 2 hours on the computers even though the place was empty i.e. they didn't need the spaces for other users. My feeling is they like the work place to be real quite. When asking for support on two occasions, there was a huff and puffs. Not a comftoble environment for those who don't have internet connection. I am a student and needed the time after all I will be contributing back into society in many ways. What's the problem. This is a council property that my taxes contribute towards but it felt like a personal private one. I left and went to the Mitchell library where I was most welcomed. Won't be returning to here. In fact I should actually report this behaviour. Only good for printing and leaving !
