Always absolutely roasting in here. No reason to have the temperature any higher than outside in the shopping centre let alone as hot as they have it. Drove all the way from Silverburn with my disabled brother because the branch there only had the boots he wanted in one size only which wasn't his. Finally got there and constantly nagged that they were closing. Had moved the boots from where they were a couple of weeks ago so after spending 10 minutes finding out they were actually upstairs now we finally found them and found the right size only to be told twice that they were closing so he had no chance to try them on. Wouldn't even give us another 5 minutes to see if they fit first so left empty handed, twice in 1 hour! Did I mention how hot this place is? The staff walk around in shorts and T-shirts, they obviously want their customers to do likewise.

Maybe Mike Ashley will turn this shop into House of Fraser. There's loads of decent gear in Sports Direct and at some great prices, but why does it look like a jumble sale? Everything is set out so higgelty piggelty. They have some good T-shirts, I bought two for under £30.00. Sports shops now probably sell the best gear on the high street.

Honestly, I hate this shop with such a passion. It has a good selection which is why it gets 2 stars as opposed to ZERO but everything is appalling. Staff don't care and are so slow, it's always SO hot and so many of the deals are designed to trick you... You think you got a bargain by buying 2 only to find when you get home you didn't get what you thought (i accept it is my fault but it feels very deliberate).

Poor service! I saw a pair of hiking boots that looked ideal but I need to try them on first for the correct fit. This is wholly reasonable. I asked if the security tag could be removed so I could try them on. Told no by the shoe dept. I went to the til area who said yes that is no problem, go ask the shoe staff. Asked shoe staff told no again for security reasons. Told to go back to til area. Another member of staff was called over and he did so muttering something, which annoyed me, and asked “what’s the problem?” I gave up by this point as clearly it was such a big issue in a shoe dept to try on shoes. Left empty handed and irritated as it really wanted those shoes. But I won’t spend no eh after bad customer service.

Was a good shop experience considering today is the day lockdown was removed 26th April 2021. The shop was busy but it is a large unit, social distance as best you can, small queue for til, but all in quick and fairly safe. Quick side note, they have 20% off everything so get in there quick.

Absolutely appalling customer service and staff, as usual. Buy a pair of trainers for my son at around £100, but they refuse to remove the security tags that bind them together until we've bought them, even though they say they will then only give us a credit or exchange note! The sales person then said "we can't be bothered with single shoes all over the place, so take it or leave it."
