A huge thank you to Dawn and Alison who took my 12 year olds bloods on 17th September. He was absolutely petrified after a previous bad experience and they took so much time and care with him even though it was busy. He came out smiling and even though it's still not his favourite thing to have done (he said the plaster hurt more than the bloods being taken!) they have considerably reduced his fears. Two very kind and conscientious ladies who went above and beyond. A credit to the nursing profession and Spire hospital. A huge thank you from us both.

Stayed here for 3nights following surgery. The hospital was very clean along with the room I stayed in. All the staff from the Consultant, nurses, CA's, cleaners and food service were all courteous and pleasant. Nothing was too much for any of them, and they made my stay more comfortable.

First class professional consultancy with my ankle operation with Mr Bathia. This was followed by in depth cardio physiotherapy advice from Mr Matharu whose expert advice has provided me the confidence to restart sprinting after 7 years. Paddleboarding on a racing board. Treking with walking poles. Speed -swimming with hour long Aquarobics. All this after 6 weeks out of a plaster-cast at 73 years of age. THANK YOU SPIRE.

Outpatient, prescribed medication by consultant, waited in pharmacy reception but was given a different brand. The chap at the pharmacy said they would order the required brand and call me the following afternoon. I rang about 16.50 the following afternoon since no one rang me. Was told by the pharmercy, that they had been sent the same brand and it might come in their late delivery, any moment now, (it was Friday) they were closing at 18.00 I said I didn't expect this from Spires and didn't really want drive through the rain in rush hour traffic. Sima came to the phone and took control of the situation assuring me if they didn't receive it she would ring round and arrange pick up with a chemist. Sima rang me back it five minutes and told me they had received the correct brand and would leave with the ward that was open 24 hours. Picked up meds at 20.00 hours no traffic. Well done Sima you've restored my faith back in Spires.

I had my hip replacement surgery at spire in March the hospital & room were spotless & clean. The surgeon & nursing staff were excellent. The one thing I won’t forget is the lady who preps the food. on the day of my discharge she told me she would make me a light lunch to go home with so I didn’t have worry about making anything when I got home as I live on my own. I forgot about this but when I was getting in the car she came out to the car and passed me my lunch. Now that’s going the extra mile bless her.

Like others I did have issues with reception staff, the lady I met was very waspish and curt when I asked how I checked in and what the process of payment was as I am a new user of Spires services. Felt like she was annoyed i'd bothered her and all I was doing was trying to register i'd arrived for my appointment! Other than that PERFECT my consultant was so kind and patient, and thorough with her assessment. She gave me more compassion in half an hr than i've experienced in over 10 years of trying to get myself heard and my experiences validated. Got me a plan sorted to go forward with to fight for a diagnosis and I left feeling confident i'd made progress.

Their Private Treatment Advisor, Ria, is rude. Or maybe she's just thick. I contacted them as my doctor in Spain has asked that I get two prolactin tests, 20 minutes apart. She could have asked me to explain it further but she didn’t. Instead, with a bit of arrogance - or a xenophobic undertone, shall I say - she blurted out "We don't know what that means. We don't do that. That's not how we do it". I had to explain TWICE that all I need is to have ONE test, wait 20 min, and then have ANOTHER test, and that I would obviously pay for EACH test. Only when I mentioned that I would pay for both tests did she seem to grasp what was going on. I clearly won't be using them.

I recently had an operation at the Leicester Spire Hospital and I would just like to say, from the very first phone call I made to book my consultation to the final post opp appointment, I was completely spoilt with care. The Surgeon, Matt Smith was so amazing at understanding and fulfilling what I wanted and he kept me at complete ease. I can’t thank him enough for completely changing my life and giving me so much more confidence, I have never been so happy! The whole team at Spire are absolutely amazing from the reception team, pre assessment team, the night nurses who took outstanding care of me during my stay, the kitchen staff, the team in the offices that kept me up to date with my information and ensured I knew exactly what was happening, you are all amazing and I really enjoyed every moment! After care was also great, I really can not recommend this hospital enough! I really couldn’t have asked for anything more, thank you all so much!
