Had an appointment with Dr Chetcuti for my son who has had a recurring respiratory problem since the winter and we were not getting satisfactory answers through A&E visits and our GP. Through taking the time to properly look at my son, fully understanding the history and the treatments that had not worked Dr Chetcuti was able to advise and reassure us on the best course of action. Totally worth the one hour drive and cost involved for such a fantastic consultation.

Consultant would turn up late repeatedly with a take out coffee (once was 45 mins) we were her first appointment of the day. Told me that I needed an unnecessary operation (refusing to check my notes from another hospital who had performed a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy). I paid to have checks elsewhere and the operation was not needed. I have now tried to contact spire 3 times to make a formal complaint as the medical advice given was incorrect. No one ever contacts me back.

Poor organisation when it came to a referral from the NHS causing my grandad to become stressed/upset and ultimately delaying his treatment. A registration pack was received by my grandad in his late 80's via post on the morning of the appointment. Called to understand whether he was expected to arrive with the completed form, he was. Tried to explain that it is not a feasible request. The lady I spoke to made out that they had done us a favour by booking in a last minute appointment following the referral on the 27th June and got the forms sent out on the 3rd July. I explained that this was a poor service due to them expecting him to complete a pack of forms at such short notice at his age. The lady then started to be quick and abrupt with me showing no regard for the situation that their flawed process had put us in. Avoid this place if you have elderly relatives requiring treatment as there seems to be a lack of common sense and no compassion shown when you have obviously been put in a difficult situation due to a poor process design.

The words to describe my excellent treatment will probably not be sufficient. Dr Veysi Veysi was incredible, caring and informative. I was extremely nervous and he was patient and calm and explained the procedure in a manner which gave me confidence. I am six weeks on from the operation and progressing well. My six week review to follow this week. I would also like to thank Jo who supported me during my hospital stay and all the members of the physio team who were very kind, supportive and patient with me after being discharged. Of course going into hospital is worrying and i was very worried but my experience with all the staff has been fantastic. Once again a big thank you to Mr Veysi, his team and of course everyone at Spire.

After months of severe back pain and losing the ability to stand up straight I paid privately to have an MRI which showed nerve entrapment and bulging disc at L4/5, I initially saw Mr Deb Pal at LGI as an NHS patient and he suggested decompression surgery due to spinal stenosis, bulging disc, and facet cyst removal. I decided to use private medical insurance and saw Mr Pal at spire, after having an X-ray he decided to do the surgery with added spinal fusion at Nuffield hospital Leeds on October 22nd, following one nights bed rest I was seen by physio who assisted me in standing up, I was delighted to be standing up straight without any of the pain I’d had previous to the surgery, I’m now 3 weeks post op and continue to improve. I would like to thank Mr Deb Pal for giving me my life back pain free and look forward to seeing him in January for a follow up appointment.

Had surgery in November 2020. Can't thank Mr Lomax enough for his care, kindness and skill as a surgeon. All my care was excellent. My anesthesitist was wonderful, as were the operating room staff. My recovery room nurse was lovely. All the staff were friendly and professional. Hospital spotless. I felt extremely well looked after. I can't recommend Spire highly enough.
