Rented a camper van in March and everything went perfect. Everything was explained on the delivery by friendly staff. The van was awesome. Very confortable and we drove 1130 miles for 6 days with no problems. The best way to discover Scotland. Recommend without any hesitation.

Despite booking the vehicle in advance it wasn't ready and we had to wait for 90 minutes there while they did all the prep work From response from owner, this wasnt booked under my name but I was part of the party. December 28 2018. Should have been ready for collection at 3pm

Pretty good experience ! The two first days was hard because of some stuff broken by the last customer (fridge fuse and battery charging cable), so we lost 2 days trying to sort it out (the battery was not charging at all) but BIG CHEERS to Gabor Magma who helped us perfectly to fix all these things out. Very pro with a lot of detailled pics ! Thanks guys !

Rented the luxury motorhome for a 10 day trip around the Scottish Highlands. Van was clean, everything was in order, the pickup and drop off was a very simple process which didn’t take time at all. The booking process which we did online was very user friendly too. All in all, everything was perfect and I’d definetely recommend spaceships to anyone.

Camper van wasn’t very clean on arrival with old single use cutlery and crumbs in side pockets from previous passengers as well as a stain on the cushions which looked like someone had been sick before. The chairs and table for sitting outside were damaged from previous customers and the kitchen equipment was all over the place. There were different cutlery sets and blunt knives. Other than this, the rest of the van seemed to be quite comfortable so move around in with everything else working as it should. We had some problems with the fridge leaking on several occasions but that could just be as a result of the ice tray being too full. The contactless pick up worked fine for us but we were a bit confused as to what we should do when returning the camper van. Having a member of staff present when returning the van would help if you have any questions to ask. I would recommend that the building has a waste disposal facility for those who go wild camping and have no way to clean out their rental van before returning it. Simple facilities including a bin would be helpful so that you can empty out your rental van and clean all the facilities. Overall, we had quite a good experience with our camper van!

We have rented a Voyager van from this company. Unfortunately, we had an extremely poor experience. The Voyager van was a huge disappointment as it proved to be dreadfully uncomfortable. If you are considering staying for more than two nights rather reconsider your plans. We have stayed 11 nights and it was terrible. It is basically only a van with an extremely uncomfortable bed and a small fridge. The explanatory video of the van is very basic so you have to discover how to use and control the van mostly yourself. The bed was making noises whenever we moved. Inspite of following all the instructions to set it up the bed did not stay straight all night and it always collapsed so there was a bump in the middle. The additional battery only supports the fridge so you cannot even charge your phone from it. There is not an additional heating which you could use at least when being in a campsite connected to electricity. Thus, it may get very cold (rented in September) in the night and water condensate on the windows inside so the car gets very wet inside in the morning. There is even a mould around some of the windows. Furthermore, we had problems with the car battery every morning when starting the car from the very first day. We just prayed that the car starts every single day. On the second day an orange control light appeard on the dashboard warning that the tyre sensors do not work. When I phoned to Starships they just told to me to check the tyres myself and if nothing seems to be wrong that we should just ignore it and continue. Not even offering me a personal check or a car change (we were still in Edinburgh). The cutlery in the car is just a joke. Very old, used and dirty. It took us ages to clean it properly. We got two cookers both very old and worn out (like from a different century). One did not work at all and the second one worked only poorly and on the third day it almost exploded when the gas was leaking also from somewhere else than it is supposed to. The cooker caught on fire and it was just luck that we were able to stop it. What a rubbish! From this day we rather did not use it at all and when we wanted hot food we just had to go to a restaurant (significantly increasing the costs of vacation). 20 pounds for a table and two chairs that are probably worth the same price? Ridiculous! This cheap equipment should be included in the rental (not an extra). Regarding the customer service of Spaceships I would point out that when we needed an address in Scotland where to have delivered our day 2 PCR covid test kits, Spacehips simply refused to do us this little favor and refused to accept the mail for us. Thus, we needed to find another place where to have it delivered. Luckily, a rival rental company helped us out (thanks Easicampers). I absolutely understand that you prefer contactless drop off because you would not hear anything positive from us. I regret every penny we have given to you for your poor service. Spaceships?
