Southmead Hospital bristol

I am 80 years old and I have recently had surgery in the orthopaedic department, I cannot fault the care that I received from all the doctors, nurses and all the support staff. They treated me with respect and dignity ,they are all so friendly and kind. I have recovered really well and I am still receiving ongoing support at outpatients. I think that we are very lucky to have such excellent hospitals in Bristol

Got transferred here from Cheltenham. Amazing facility. Like a shopping mall in the central atrium and spotlessly clean everywhere. Most of all, they saved my life. Reassuring, professional and very compassionate. Just wanted to tell you that you are all amazing people!

Really impressed with how well sign posted everything was. Building is light and airy. Welcome staff at the check in made us feel really welcome. Best hospital I've set foot in!

Had orthopaedic surgery on 29 Nov. Thank you so much to Mr Livingstone and all the staff who looked after me. Cannot fault a thing with Southmead, this is why I come down from Gloucestershire to have surgery here.

Such a lovely hospital, i had some very major surgeries weeks apart and the care I received was amazing. I have never has such good care from a hospital. The wards i stayed on were exceptional, the quality of the rooms and cleanliness were amazing. Thank you for all your help

Having got a relative in B31 medical at this hospital I understand that the ward is a busy one as is all hospitals but trying to phone to ask & gain updates about a close relative being from Newport South Wales so it’s not a case of just pop up the road & visit as relative living in Newport but ended up at this hospital I feel very disheartened by staff not answering phones at least 8 times trying even having 2 phones phoning same ward at the same time all other staff outside this ward were friendly helpful & understanding of having a relative so far away from home all I can say it’s a good job I work in nhs myself so can try again throughout the night as I work nights myself

Managed to break my ankle in two places with one open fracture.Rushed off to Gloucester hospital to have bone put back in place. I was then taken to Southmead to have surgery. Fabulous right from the start although I am a easily pleased patient.Staff were brilliant right down the anesthetists,surgeons nurses and after care in casting room..Ive been down a few times since for cast changes and having boot fitted soon.My experience was a good one as far as hospitals go.

Some members of staff on gate 32 B were amazing and the care and understanding they showed My father was faultless Jade is extremely proactive and a great asset to this ward (gate) Emma even though she only has a few weeks before she gives birth and other we’re exemplary in the care of dad one member held dad’s hand to help him through pain on night shift

As hospitals go, this is great one, had a week stay. So welcomed and cared for. 100% thumbs-up to the staff, who go above and beyond. Food good for hospital standards

Amazing! My mother in a road traffic accident is being treated at Southmead. Hospital modern, staff superb and I'm overwhelmed by the service and the lovely staff. Thank you all.
