It's good to say you've been a great walk to end of pier. Railway good to take. They offer discounts

5/ 5

It's good to say you've been a great walk to end of pier. Railway good to take. They offer discounts as expected on train prices. But good fun. Food vendors at end prices were everyday which was surprising, fishing at a price, crazy golf but just a lovely place to sit and look out to sea. Unfortunately we didn't get in the main building. Lovely when sunny. The longest pier was good to do.

A lot of us did not know about the longest pier in the world and so it was a great experience walkin

5/ 5

A lot of us did not know about the longest pier in the world and so it was a great experience walking the 1.33 miles of pier to the lifeboat House at the end of the pier where there are restaurants and ice cream. We had such a lovely time. Walked the 1.33 miles and then got the train back for £2.60 concession rate for seniors. The sun was shining and the sea was emerald green. There is a great fairground at the beginning of the pier. A fun day for all. Worth visiting. So much to do for all ages.

A nice long walk along the longest pier in the world. Look. You're in Southend. It's a nice walk do

A nice long walk along the longest pier in the world. Look. You're in Southend. It's a nice walk down a long pier in the estuary. It isn't the Bahamas. 2 quid entrance for an Essex legend. Lived in Essex most my life and only done it recently. Glad I did. Couple games to play at the end. Places for food and drinks. A life guard thing. Well worth a walk down if you're in town my opinion. The sky and the river meet very well the further you walk down the pier and you feel surrounded by blue and brown/green. Very nice.

It is always lovely to take the long walk down the pier and save some train ticket😆. but we have been lazy with kids and just took the train ride which is fun of course for them. The view is just stunning and it is so calming to ride into the sea, you can see water down beneath you. The glittering sunlight on the sea is just dazzling, feel like heaven.

Lovely ride on the South End pier train. Was good as entrance to train is ground level and all flat

5/ 5

Lovely ride on the South End pier train. Was good as entrance to train is ground level and all flat that we could put a wheelchair on board with the first cabin being the widest for it. Good view back to the shore and just a lovely steady ride. Would recommend to all visitors.
