THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE SENDING YOUR CHILDREN HERE ITS REALLY BAD ACADEMICLY AND EVEN WORSE MENTALLY HALF THE TIME IN THE LESSONS THE TEACHERS DONT EVEN SHOW UP AND WHEN THEY DO ALL THEY DO IS COMPLAIN, NONE OF THE TEACHERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT TEACHING AND YOU CAN TELL! ALSO THE PASTORAL TEAM ARE REALLY BAD, THEY TREATED MY DAUGHTER LIKE DIRT AND GAVE HER DETENTIONS FOR NOTHING ANOTHER GIRL WAS BULLYING HER AND THE SCHOOL SAID SHE NEEDED TO WORK IT OUT ON HER OWN IVE QUICKLY MOVED HER TO ANOTHER SCHOOL (MOUNTBATTEN) AND SHES THRIVING THERE STILL WORKING ON BRINGING HER CONFIDENCE BACK UP AFTER IT WAS DESTROYED IN THIS SCHOOL BUT AT HER NEW SCHOOL ITS GOING REALLY WELL

Think very carefully before sending your daughter here. Results are all that matters, at the expense of everything else, including a child's happiness. Pastoral care is seriously lacking. Turned my happy, clever, confident child off learning and school, she was very unhappy and we had to move her. Several other girls in her year also left for similar reasons.

The Friday treats are amazing. So is everyone. They always smile. I wish that I did not have to leave this place. Quite annoying with the bells but definitely go in for the 11+ and try out for the school. The clubs are really cool. Don't be afraid of the teachers because although some of them may be strict - they are so lovely. If you get Mr Southern - Maths - watch out for Gladiator, Legend and Merge.

they put way too much pressure on you with exams. they make you do all your exams in the same week so it’s really hard to get a good revision system. the pastoral care is awful. they tell you to sort out the problem yourself or they give you really bad advice. they don’t tell us when we have a detention and then they get angry at us for not showing up. on non school uniform days they tell us to wear cloths which don’t show our shoulders or mid-drifts or calves which isn’t good for our body confidence. like what is wrong with my shoulders. so yeah 👍🏻

I've really lost faith in this school to the point I won't be sending my younger daughter there for the benefit of her mental health. For a school which has a lot of very talented, articulate young ladies who are anxious perfectionists, they could do a lot by realising that pastoral care lies at the heart of good performance. Unfortunately they care more about reputation and grades, to the point they will happily make life difficult for students displaying more neurodivergent issues rather than address these, and put the many different educational support systems in place to ensure these students have equal access to learning. What is sad is these students are naturally gifted and if channeled correctly would fly with the right support.

Both of my nieces went there, a while back now I must say, but found the school excellent academically and pushed them far more than we thought possible, opened doors and taught them to aim higher than the ceiling, that was under Ms Chilcot , shame to read of its decline

This school only cares about their reputation and grades, not the actual welfare/well-being of their students. The pastoral care (or lack of) is pretty appalling, many of the staff (however not all) do not seem to care about their students. Support for the sixth form students on results day was shockingly bad, many of the teachers and staff weren't even there, so students were having to make do with their further education choices/clearing on their own. Some parts of this sixth form are very good, such as some of the teaching standards, but others are clearly not. I would advise anyone to seriously consider going to this sixth form before making any choices, as my daughter's mental health has seriously declined since joining here a few years ago.
