Beware. My partner and I bought a VW Golf Estate from here, a few weeks ago. On the face of it, it was a great car and the test drive was very good. On purchase though a few irritating details became apparent. The rear passenger door kept sticking shut, and as I was hoping to transport grandchildren, would have been more than annoying. Then, it transpired the "second key" only opened the driver's door, but didn't work in the ignition or for the central locking. Then, my partner went on the motorway and found there was a speed limiter at 70mph! OK, we don't speed, but you need a bit of extra oomph to get out of trouble sometimes.
Also we drive abroad where limits vary. We contacted the garage to get these things sorted out and were faced with arguments. The key, they said WAS a second key and the fact it worked on the door showed it was a working key! The door, they got to open and the guy showed me open, close, open, close, open close, open..... oh dear it didn't! The limiter, they said they hadn't tested the car above 70mph. and they said they couldn't do anything about it. It had been a fleet car and they bought many cars from the company. Anyway, we returned the car to them. I found another car at a garage which did MOTs and servicing on purchase.
