After just two years weathering, the knocker on my door has substantial corrosion. I have contacted Solidor as my fitter retired; their response? "Check to see if you have an insurance backed guarantee." I'd have been quite happy to buy a replacement, but no, apparently I have to make an insurance claim. For a door knocker.

Excellent doors. Just put 7 in my showroom, been using Solidor for years but customers are really seeing the different upfront now and loving them! We do some beautiful doors. The best range and quality we have used. Chris, Lifestyle Windows and Conservatories, Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

We had a 1.7k solidor fitted less than a year ago by a proffesional company. Unfortunately that company went in to liquidation leaving us with no guarantee (that's another review for another company). I contacted Solidor who said it was nothing to do with them, but it's not the fitting that's the problem. The door is warped and won't shut properly. It's draughty and warped. My advise is don't buy a Solidor. I only wish I'd taken the bad reviews seriously. Lot's of customers are complaining about the same problem and a lot of proffesional fitters say the same thing, that Solidors are not great. I've had reviews taken down on Trust Pilot because Solidor are passing the blame on to their fitters. They were quick to respond to my bad review but as soon as they saw proof of purchase was with a *verified Solidor fitter* and not purchased directly through them, they are saying it's not their problem. Really? Every customer/item should come with a product guarantee. I've had two respectable door companies out to the door and both have said the fit is fine and the door is warped. So it's the product that has a problem, not the fitting, but Solidor don't want to know. Terrible service and terrible product.

We install around 3 to 4 Composite doors a week and have very little issues. Our deliveries are always on time and in full. The doors are always well protected and delivered to us with care. We have sold a range of other composite doors in the past and find Solidor to offer the best all round product and service. The door is a premium product with excellent features and high security. I see there has been a few bad google reviews regards to some movement issues which are common with all doors but we find as long as the Solidor is a Genuine Solidor installed by a Solidor recommended installer you will be able to enjoy your Solidor for many years to come knowing it has been installed correctly and more importantly your Solidor will be guaranteed to keep your home stylish and secure.

After just 11 months my Solidor has started cracking. I contacted the installer who sent then videos and photos to Solidor for inspection. Solidor then sent them a plain slab with no hardware. My installed visited the other-day and was unable to replace my door due to the amount of hardware installed on it. This needed to be done in a jig and at Solidor's factory. I myself have seen how the long pullbars are installed using the alley key screw system and it is NOT an on-site job. I am now frustrated as I have a cracking front door with perishing furniture and Solidor just been referring me back to my installer. Considering the door was near on £3k. Im pretty miffed. It seems they lack support in their dealer network.

Oh dear, I certainly won't be purchasing a Solidor then. Your reputation is really bad both through word of mouth and online reviews. I'd work on that a little if I was you.

Absolutely lousy company. Want to give them a big fat 0. Had issues with my 3 year old door (a manufacturer issue - the door is literally splitting apart). As my installer had gone bust I hoped Solidor would help out. They were unhelpful at best and in the end wiped their hands of the issue by not replying to my calls and emails. This left me with a broken door and finding a way of getting it replaced. Poor quality, overpriced doors with lousy end user customer service. Avoid!
