Lovely coffee shop with very friendly staff. Good selection of food (breakfast, lunch and baked goods) with a bunch of vegan options. They've got a workspace with plenty of plug sockets in the side room. Great quality coffee (as with any small batch). Toilet is downstairs, so not a very accessible toilet.

It's small batch!! Great coffee, lovely cake/snacks. Friendly staff and just a nice environment to sit and chat over a hot drink. Works.away from other bigger chain coffee shops and also a great place to buy your coffee for home as they will grind it to your preference.

Previously rated small Batch as 5 stars however, over recent months I have become increasingly disappointed. New staff are significantly less friendly than previous staff I think this is likely both due to the staff themselves being less personable however I can't ignore that it may also due to their seeming inability to manage the recent changes to the menu. This does not relate to all the staff but atleast 70%. I tend not to come to this one anymore and opt instead for the one off palmeria square.

Good quality coffee in Hove just a few meters down from the train station. They've build a setup for the "digital nomad" squad in the adjacent space with a few sockets and a big table. Haven't tasted the food, but will do next time.

Nice surroundings but they don't bring your coffee to you, you have to wait at end of counter to collect it. I expected a better service from a place this size.

This place used to be my lockdown haven for coffee & a great conversation. The place has really gone downhill . Owners are trying to squeeze too much out of the premises at the expense of the customer . The tables installed opposite the counter have created a seriously stressful & uncomfortable area . Having to wait for your coffee with people squeezing past you to get back out the door . It’s non operational & promotes zero social distancing . New staff lack training & it’s always a risk whether or not you get a decent coffee or wait 15 minutes for the pleasure as they’re too busy talking amongst themselves . Will miss the manager who left recently. He made the best coffees . Won’t be returning as I leave feeling very stressed just watching the chaos .

Decent coffee, nice staff and pastries are great. A bit of a disappointing experience; apparently new owners - I was one of only 2 customers in the cafe and spent about an hour there, was asked to leave as they now have a weekend no laptops policy. Never had an issue elsewhere getting a little work done while enjoying a coffee which is a shame as it’s a nice place and very close to home. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend to a friend nor will I go back :(
