We've been there for a Japanese cooking lesson. After a slow start (we were waiting outside with rain and wind but no one let us in, as they were preparing for lunch and the class) we went in and the chef was funny and very easy to speak with. The class was relative simple, especially if you ever done some before, centered around maki sushi and California rolls. After that we had some food with the other attendant of the class, the food was alright nothing stellar, but all in all definitely an enjoyable morning/lunch.

Hidden Gem away from the city. If you visit Edinburgh come and enjoy some amazing food. Super cosy and quiet. It is the sort of place you don't want to tell anyone about so you can have it all to yourself. Super tasty!

Horrible experience! We were 4 in our party the food came out one at a time and they never brought out one if our orders. They never came back to ask if we needed anything they never smiled or were friendly at all! We did notice however sadly to say that locals were treated differently and attended to at once. We had to wait for everything!! Their response was we don’t know what happened! We do NOT recommend this restaurant.

Food was alright, not too good but enjoyable. The staff was friendly but not good at recommending the various dishes. The room was so cold that me and my friends had to keep our jackets on.

It was a disappointment unfortunately. The quality of the food was okay but the service made us really uncomfortable. We ordered sushi and then we've been told they are out of sushi rice. Our server wasn't helpful at all in offering alternatives and the menu itself is really dirty&old. I ordered a tofu ramen (it had a friendly letter V next to it) and I received one with pork. I kindly asked him to change it for me, which he did and got me a new ramen with tofu in 10 seconds.. it only had a few bits of pork left in it..
