No wonder the reviews are mainly 1 stars, the staff member I just spoke to was awful and couldn't care less about helping me and ended up putting the down on me. Once again doctor receptionists at their best!

I am not an aggressive person or someone who would love to go to the Medical Practice to ask annoying questions. The receptionist made me feel that I am unwelcome there. I believe there is a way how to talk and treat people. I wanted to ask something else and went back and heard very clearly how she commented to the other lady "she is back". After the visit I cried outside and the random lady came to ask am I alright. I am sorry to give only one star as I have been very happy with midwives and health visitors. But receptionist have always been very unprofessional.

When is someone going to take notice of these complaints! Just adding to the list of complaints in regards to the receptionist at this medical practice. She is rude and condescending. Her manners in person and to people on the phone is atrocious. If you don't like your job. Leave.

In the last 3 years everytime I have gone... I had the misfortune to always have the same 3 ladies at the counter...feels like there aren't any other people that work at the counter then these woman. These three are absolutely fantastic at giving a terrible experience at first point of contact. These places are busy but that doesn't mean they get to treat people like second class citizens. Everybody else seem nice but these three receptionists should be re trained to show humbleness and empathy.

I have been a patient at the practice for over ten years now and have always had the best of service. Without going into personal details, all the doctors and nurses I have had the need to seek help from have been outstanding and on occasion have truly gone above and beyond in their efforts to help me. The reception staff are all lovely too. When I moved house recently, I was very pleased to still be able to attend. Would recommend to all.

I have never had a negative experience here always been treated with respect and courtesy. In tough times they deserve full respect for dealing with competing pressures from public and government often at contradicting aims, see more patients but don't see them up close and only within certain times of day. It can't be an easy job dealing with the public as we don't see the background (think like teachers dealing with pupils needs but also having government inspections).

I registered with Slateford MP after a fracture in 2006, and had very little contact with them until 2009, when I fell seriously ill with a very nasty infection. At the time, Dr Paul Chadwick and Nurse Practitioner Mary Horne could not have looked after me better. Their care, and that of the other staff who I have dealt with, was absolutely exceptional. Working in a similar environment, I know the challenges that the staff here deal with every day. “Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes.”

I couldn't ask for more from my Doctor's surgery. I have always been treated in a professional and polite manner. In the times when I have been worried or nervous the staff have been reassuring and full of empathy. I cannot thank them enough for all that they have done in looking after me and my family.

I have no complaints regarding the actual practice/doctors, the receptionist whom I won’t name should not be working there! Her manner towards patients is atrocious, she makes you feel worse rather than feeling better, she needs to go on a course on how to interact with the patients of the surgery, to be honest, if she answers the phone I put it down because I can’t be bothered with the way she is. Look for another job if you can’t be bothered being helpful!!
