As hardware and timber store they are first class. However I had a new front door fitted through them (they arranged, booked and sent the fitter, though the fitter was paid direct, door and all materials bought from Sheppards), and I have never seen worse workmanship in my life. The door didn't close by a good 1/2" on the bottom (corrected by the fitter by moving one side of the frame only, so now the whole door is tilted 1/4") Many other issues as well I was left with a huge amount of work to finish the job off. After much thought and some delay, I have decided to leave the review, as every time I see the door, I am reminded of the unresolved issues. It does seem that Sheppards think the fitting is nothing to do with them, even though they arranged him. Pity

Great DIY store, stocks most things. Also do fitted kitchens and bathrooms. Update, you can buy a kitchen or bathroom from them but expect to wait 2/3 months to have it fitted! Wouldn't use there own recommend fitters, best get your own if you want the job doing quickly. Kitchen 3 meters by 2.5 meters fitting cost 3k!

Excellent selection of timber. Much better value than B and Q etc. Nicer shopping experience too!

Sheppards are a long established store, with a very good reputation. They stock an extensive range of DIY, tools, fixings, plumbing, kitchen and bathroom products. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff. A great local DIY retailer! - Thanks, Kevin Murray

Good prices and you will find what you need for a "small intervention" at home. Parking spaces for car. My only problem was they don't accept your own material for cutting, you need to buy from them.

Always very helpful, friendly and the prices are extremely competitive. Great DIY shop and highly recommended. Bit awkward parking there but that is the only gripe.

No problem if a place is good people will come back and in this climate u.all need help

Sheppards DIY is a very, very good shop for diy products. Hand tools, electric tools, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, wood, adhesives and sealants, hardware and . . . kitchens. We have also bought an excellent cooker from Sheppards. Over many years we have found Sheppards to be helpful and we highly recommend them.
