((((AVOID)))) Myself and my partner booked a spa and hotel package. The spa was excellent as a stand alone and it is very relaxing and enjoyable as well as lovely staff. As part of our deal we had booked a deluxe room for one night, we were put into a small room with two singles pushed together and told conflicting information on the room, one saying it wasn't a deluxe and one saying it was, it did not feel deluxe as the rooms felt dated, the stains on the carpet are very apparent and the tv that was faulty with black lines running across. One or two dead flies on the window. Our package included dinner and breakfast. At dinner our cutlery given had food from the previous meal dried and still clinging and lipstick on the rim of my glass, I brought both of these to the staff who apologized, they wiped the glass instead of replacing it and offered a glass of wine as a way of compensation, we do not drink. I regret not taking pictures. The room itself had no visible way of controlling the temperature and my partner found it difficult to sleep because of it. They appeared short staffed and while that cannot be helped the staff seemed friendly but not very welcoming. I do not wish to be "that guy" bringing up all the little bad bits to staff and complaining but this was my experience and I will not be returning for the hotel and overall it ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing and revitalizing short break for us both. I would warn against staying for now if you like a more modern accommodation with a varied menu other than the four dishes up for choosing or just a decent standard. We were not offered any compensation other than the wine though I should've pushed for it which is my fault. Very disappointed!

AWESOME! It was my first time up North and this place really made my trip. Really lovely staff (one of them with fantastic hair). Lovely afternoon tea, so much flavour, so much tea, so much love. Would recommend the Shaw Hill Burger! Will 100% be coming back again, maybe even slip in a quick game of golf! I wish all the Shaw Hill Staff a very pleasant evening

Mum's 80th, went here on Sunday with my family 21 of us in total. We had the three course meal option. I had the salmon for starters and lamb for main both meals superb then I had the lemon tart also very good. Overall the food was superb and enjoyed by everyone. Service was brilliant and the main guy who dealt with us was top notch. Would definitely recommend for family do's and for a good meal. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great day. Forgot to take pics if mine here's my partner's meal.
