The wall paper stripper worked perfectly. The amount of steam produced is quite impressive. We were able to remove wall paper stuck to 3 layers of lining paper all at once. Job done at low cost. I will absolutely come back to the Library of Things next time I need a tool that I don't have, and will not need often! Great concept! Thanks to all the volunteers who manage this fantastic service!

I borrowed everything I needed to try out wallpapering – a brilliant low-carbon, low-investment way to give it go for the first time! And all the equipment came with some bonus expert advice from the librarians. I will probably try it again, but in the meantime I don’t have to clog up our precious storage space with brushes and a pasting table. Will definitely borrow again next time!

I borrowed a rucksack to take my laptop home from work (I'd forgotten to bring a large bag for it). The rucksack was a good size and had lots of straps - would work for camping/walking I'd think. I also used it to carry my weekly shopping home, and it was very comfy. The people in the office are really friendly and helpful, plus the Black Friday offer was a real bonus! Hopefully I will borrow more items soon. Thank you LoT :-)

Share Oxford is a brilliant service! I borrowed an electric drill as I needed to reinstall a cat flap. I only needed to drill one hole so buying an expensive drill seemed not the best solution. I found out about Share Oxford through a social community email network and decided to try them out as this seemed like a perfect opportunity. I can't praise them enough - the site is actually quite good and clear, you can book the necessary item and then pick it up during opening hours and the best thing about Share Oxford is VERY affordable prices! And the owner Maurice was really flexible with picking up and returning the item - it all felt very personable and very community oriented. If you need a tool for some one-off jobs - this is the place for you!! Many thanks Maurice and Share Oxford - best wishes for the business Yulia
