Went in with no intention of buying anything; left with a pair of Balenciaga's. Stocking almost every sort of designer ware, with a few exceptions that I could think of, Selfridges still stands as the go to place to pick up anything designer and high end. Was served by Owen who was knowledgeable about the shoes I was buying and was able to fit me the right size, knowing about the brand and similar shoes. If you have a fine taste in clothing then this is the place for you, if you don't then it is highly unlikely you will even think of buying anything, obviously pricing is high, but that's the whole idea.

Visited the clothing department and the jewellery section (ground floor). Clothing is always really good and continues to be of a high standard, fine selection of clothes for all price points. Then visited (I am assuming) a concession store on the ground floor who were the most unhelpful and seemed to lack knowledge of their own products - sorry Tiffany's, but your standards have slipped. End result, I made my purchase else where.

It's a lovely building, and the staff were helpful and attentive. I just can't get my head around £450 jumpers and dry dog shampoo though. But, if that's your thing, that's your thing I guess.

Had a refund processed by Daniel on the sunglasses counter on the 23rd of December. Daniel was very helpful, he is a real asset to the store and was extremely helpful and apologetic when faced with issues regarding short staffing which I presume was out of his control. Thank you Daniel!

I got some perfume on Saturday the 18th December from Dior and received a really lovely service. They young lady was friendly and polite and she arranged for my bottle to be engraved with my initials and posted to me which I received by courier today. The packaging is as nice as the perfume.

Superb service and product range. Managed to grab several Christmas presents. Gift wrapping may be free but it's not up to my standards I'm afraid.

Shopped here for over 35 years but never again First time I took something back recently I got refused a refund and an exchange I took it further but got no satisfaction In my opinion their policy is false and everything is down to manager's discretion. I phoned customer service for help but just got passed from pillar to post, I feel j had no rights as a customer and would never shop here again
