Christian cut my hair a month ago. I had a big change. He is such a professional and it is such an expert cut, that it still falls into place and looks good four weeks later without me having to slave over it. The best salon in Cambridge without a shadow of a doubt.

Best salon experience! Nicola really listened to what I wanted and made it happen, perfectly. I was really looked after, and when I asked for a tweak at the end, she was more than happy to do that - despite it being beyond her home time. Highly recommend.

Was in town from the US and desperately needed a haircut. It was very easy to make an appointment online. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. My appointment was with Mel and from the consultation to my final haircut she was just wonderful. Her recommendations on the cut were spot on and I walked out with an amazing haircut. Would highly recommend the salon and Mel.

Fabulous salon. Five star every visit! I have been seeing Garry since he shaved my hair off at the start of my chemo. He was compassionate beyond words. Understood my anxieties. Talked through my options. & guided me through the process. Sadly my hair has never recovered and without Garry I would undoubtedly be living life in the shadows. He has come up with solutions and made me feel fabulous once again. On top of everything else, I’ve gained an amazing friend ! I cannot recommend the salon highly enough.

I wholeheartedly recommend Garry at Scruffs. Due to a period of extreme physical stress on my body in 2015; I experienced considerable hair loss (pic 1). Having been recommended to try Scruffs by one of my nurses; I queried whether the salon was accessible as I am a full time wheelchair user and was assured that this was no problem at all. Sure enough, to this day; a spot is always reserved for me to wheel into, the wheelchair accessible door opened for me and I have never felt at all 'in the way'. At my first appointment; Garry welcomed me in for a consultation after hours (brilliant as I wasn't surrounded by a room full of people with gorgeous hair!) where he was straight talking and said that 'if I didn't have significant enough hair loss, he wouldn't recommend a wig for the sake of it'. However; upon looking at my hair; he agreed that the hair loss was significant so I may benefit from a hairpiece (aka a wig!). Having looked at my hair; he suggested that a long bob would suit me (slightly terrifying yet liberating to try as I've always had long hair!). I had the chance to try a variety of different wigs in different styles but was put under no pressure to purchase or order anything. Garry took into account the level of day to day care that I was realistically going to want to spend on 'doing my hair' (not too much fuss) perfectly. By chance; there was a long bob wig in Garry's collection which, to my surprise, infact did suit me. I unexpectedly left the salon that night with a smile and confidence that I hadn't realised had disappeared as my hair fell out...and new hair (pic 2 at home)! For a year; I continued to wear my wig whilst out of the house-with a lot of compliments as my hair always looked perfectly styled! Garry has patiently styled my real hair as it has regrown despite my impatience for the speed that it grows and -as shown in the 3rd pic in the salon-now styles it in such a way that you wouldn't recognise it from where I first started. A massive thankyou for making me feel just a tiny bit beautiful!

Fantastic personal service, could.not rate them highly enough! Garry is superb! So supportive for me in a difficult time. Garry's knowledge, help and understanding is second to none. I have been diagnosed with cancer and Garry made choosing a Wig and cutting my hair a fun and positive experience. I now have the confidence to go out and be me again! That feeling is priceless! I have been coming to this salon for the best part of ten years and cannot advocate, scruffs & their team enough. From the moment you step through the door your greeted by a warm/ home from home, wide smiles vibe. Nothing is ever to much of a task and scruffs are so tentative to your every need and always (in my experience) go that extra mile. Gary & Grant have really grown the scruffs brand and it’s been amazing to see it develop over the years and are very hands - on and beyond approachable owners. The entire time are an absolute delight and I am always counting down on my calendar my next scruffs date! Sure scruffs appears a tad more pricey than other salons but their prices are transparent and you pay for the knowledge and professional expertise. I cannot advocate the guys/ team enough, they have the balance just right! Thank you for the amazing, incredible years of service! Special thanks to Christian who always delivers 500% in my styling and colouring needs and partly why I’m a devoted customer to the Scruffs brand! Thank you everyone for all your efforts, you are all worth your weight in gold!
