Recently settled in Glasgow and bought my first UK car at Scottish Motor Services today. Service was excellent; Hugh is very friendly and efficient. The sale was straightforward and everything is taken care of; just pick up the car, drive away and be happy! Highly recommended!

Hugh Baird has been exceptional, from helping to secure finance for the car for me, to arranging minor repairs after taking the car home. I was even given a courtesy car to use when my car was in the shop so I was never left without a car. Thank you for great service! Took longer than originally expected for the car to be delivered but this was due to a terrifyingly long list of new parts being fitted to the car. When I spat the dummy out the management and sales team bent over backwards to make amends. Things go wrong, how they're fixed when they do makes all the difference. There's a picture on the wall in their show room showing what I assume is a father and son outside the building c1960s. It's a long standing business that cares about its reputation.

I purchased a Mitsubishi L200 August 2018 67000 miles with 1 years mot with no advisories for £9900.Firstly they said it had service history with 3 stamps but they could not find service book when I picked it up.No details of timing belt change so put it into my local garage the next week for timing belt change and full service.Gearbox oil and axle oils were contaminated so had them replaced all at my cost. Steering rack,universal joint ,front pads ,discs,rear drums and shoes were replaced and paid for by S.M.S. and it had just passed an mot. The L200 came with no jack or spare wheel.The radio did not work,realized there was no aerial,had one fitted,radio still did not work.Alarm came on when indicating,auto electricion said cheapest option was to have it removed which i did.l traded it in 2 weeks ago as the rattles just kept getting worse and got £5000 and garage said they were being generous.All in all having covered 4000 miles it has cost me £6500 including finance payments and also £700 for the service I had done for the privilege of owning the L200 for 7 months. .

Recently bought a BMW Z4 from them, the service was great, always helpful always polite, i put the car through a service straight away and found out it was in as a good condition as they said. it has one issue with retracting the roof, called them up and with out any hesitation was happy to organize it to come in and get a sensor replaced. Honestly couldn't be happier with the way i was treated and the quality of the car.

Popped in to SMS today with a friend to view a car, both people we dealt with were absolutely spot on, collecting car on Tuesday so will update then. So far felt quite comfortable dealing with Scottish Motor Services
