Salon M – newcastle

I moved to the North east in January and it took me a long time to find the 'right' person but I am so glad I took my time as I found Emily @ Salon M Pilgrim Street who worked her miracles on me. Truly professional and passionate about her work with great communication and making sure I was happy at all times. Absolutely loved my colour and cut and am now off for my 3rd of many more visits to come! Fabulous Emily, fab salon....a friendly and fun and relaxed place to be pampered!!!

Would not go anywhere else for my hair to be done! Really recommended Emily Milner for hair (all of the hairdressers are so friendly however!). Emily has coloured, styled and cut my hair and there is not a single appointment I've been not 100% happy 😍

So pleased Liam moved to here. He is just amazing. The salon is gorgeous and the staff are the friendliest I have ever known

Kimberley has restored my faith in beauticians - exceptional quality waxing. Painless as it could be, hot wax used, explains clearly the process as you go through and made me feel completely at ease. Finally found my regular waxing salon in Newcastle!

DO NOT USE THESE HAIRDRESSERS! I booked for a hair cut, and then I called to ask if it would be possible to also get my hair coloured, I was told that’s okay, just that two different people will do the colour and cut, I thought that was alright. I turned up and showed them the picture I wanted included in the photos, but as can see I got something completely different. After the colour was done the person who was to cut my hair came over and said I was booked wrong and he wouldn’t have time to do what I wanted for the cut, something I was not told before this point! Then he told me he would do the best he can, as you can see his best is not that good. When I complained and his manager Sara came over and said that the photo I had had layers and my hair didn’t and when asked of the stylists why is there no layers he said I didn’t want them, although he had not asked me at all anything about layers, I assumed he would know as I said I want the hair cut in the picture. So the manager told me she would book me in another day when they had time for a free hair cut to give me the one I wanted. The next day she called me and said that now I had to come and pay for the hair cut and they would not do this for free! According to consumer rights Act 2015 they should have done this at their own cost which they refused to do! I am not happy at all!

Booked in for full head colour and styling - Got to my appointment today at 2:15pm to be told by the lady doing my hair on arrival that she was running at least 1 hour late. I work self employed and had booked this appointment around clients and new for traffic driving back to work I wouldn’t make it so I couldn't wait an extra hour on top. I honestly find it so unprofessional as no one rang me to inform me of the delay. I understand running late we are all human. However certainly not 1 hour late without notice - I drove 30 minutes into town, plus paid for parking….what an absolute waste of money and time! I was also so looking forward to getting hair done as was desperate for colour. I have a big catwalk event this weekend and a best friends wedding to attend next week, which now I can’t get booked in anywhere else for in time! So so disappointed, very poor service.

I saw Luke for a cut and colour and he was brilliant listened to what I wanted and made suggestions, the final result was just what I was after, the salon itself was nice and all staff friendly, would recommend.
