Spanning three floors, we were seated quite soon after entering the house. Smiling waiters took our order and it arrived promptly. Sally Lunn’s has plenty of savoury or sweet choices to eat their famous bun. We chose the original cream tea, salt beef and smoked salmon. They come served on half a bun unless you request a whole specifically. The salmon was fresh, creamy and with a slight tang due to the lemon juice. If you want something traditional, opt for the simple cream tea - a nice change from a scone! At ~£8-10, not pricey too. No wonder it is a must-visit when in Bath.

We came on a Saturday late morning and were shocked to find there was no line! To be honest, we didn't know what to expect and Sally Lunns was awesome! We had a delicious brunch. My husband had the English breakfast bun while my son and I had sweet buns - french toast and cinnamon butter. So good! There is a neat shop and mini museum area down in the basement. All the staff were extremely nice and the atmosphere itself is worth the stop.

The. Service. Was. Brilliant! They were very professional, even though during there was a giant queue during the lunch rush, we did not feel rushed at all. Food —> authentic and delicious, simple dishes made extraordinary well. The beef and chicken were tender. If you are in a hurry, make sure to order from the non-hot food section as those dishes are served almost immediately. The teas were wonderful, as well as the coffee. Rich in flavour and well brewed with great suggestions for taste.

The food was nice enough but not enough to make want to make a repeat visit. What you are really going here for is the theatre of having tea in such a building. Quaint , charming and full of character the place is full of history with a museum down stairs, that's the reason you would head here. The service was friendly and attentive so all in all a good experience but the food wasn't special enough for me to check it out in the future.

We stopped in for morning tea, and had the cream tea bunn, and bread and butter pudding. We enjoyed the food, but it wasn't anything spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful - we were seated straight away, and there were lots of tables available. Food came relatively quickly, and we didn't have to work too hard to get the bill when we were done. A fun place to visit for the history, but we probably wouldn't go back now we've been there once.

Really nice place and the service is outstanding. Very welcoming. I ordered the soup of the day and it was roasted veggies, absolutely fantastic. I also ordered the beef pie and it was good, fresh and perfect temperature, but I felt ripped off. I didn't ask for the price before and they definitely should put it on the menu. I don't like when restaurants don't put prices. I was charged £15 for a beef pie and some mashed potatoes. That's not price for value considering there was not even a salad with it.

When we visited we didn't really know what to expect but were interested in experiencing something quite historic. The sign outside the building tells us as much. We knew we had to try the infamous Sally Lunn Bun. I ordered the afternoon tea whilst my partner ordered the salt beef. So we both got to try the sweet and savoury options. I thoroughly enjoyed mine and if I lived in Bath I'm sure I would be sampling the other toppings! After the food we visited the small museum downstairs which was a great insight to how the house would have operated so long ago. The food was great and served quickly. Ideal for lunch before exploring more of what Bath has to offer.

Had a great time here. The Queen Victoria Tea with the lemon curd on the buns was so very tasty. I’m going to be craving it until I can get back. My son had the open club and was making all kinds of delighted sounds while devouring it. The Sally Lunn’s tea is also very nice. 10/10 would both go there again and recommend. Also brought home one for my mother in law but it never made it to her ;)
